Brentford FC Head Coach Thomas Frank has signed a new long-term contract. Thomas, 46, has been in the role as Head Coach for 15 months, having originally joined The Bees in 2016 as part of the coaching team under Dean Smith. When Dean left to join Aston Villa in October 2018, Thomas was appointed to the Head Coach position. He signed a new deal today, Monday 13 January, that will run until the summer of 2023.

Excellent news - I was another one who had lost patience with him at one point, very happy to be proved wrong and a very well deserved extension.

Great news. You don't hear of many clubs extending their head coach/manager's contract. Just another example of how differently our club is run.

I wasn’t convinced in September but I know haven’t been more sure of a Manager to take us up (even though I’m enjoying the Champs) good luck Thomas

The club is a great example of united teamwork, both on and off the pitch.
Thomas Frank’s new contract demonstrates to everyone, both within and to those outside the club, that firstly he deserves it, but as importantly he is committed to the long term strategy of Brentford.

And at this stage of such an important season, it is a clear indication from him to all the players that we have a major ambition to achieve - together!

Excellent interview on TalkSport today with Thomas, Jim White, Clinton Morris on and our very own Natalie Sawyer.
One game at a time philosophy and I have the impression not only is he enjoying life at BFC, but so is everyone else.
I echo that.

I felt bad about joining in with that at 3-0 down after 25 minutes at home to Swansea last season! And have since eaten my words. Can't believe a year later it still got trotted out!
