My point was not to wait for the email to say you are lucky or not. Checking the ticket website lets you know immediately if you are able to book for Blackburn, if so just take the offer and you can relax. If not then you are right to be worried that there might be a cock up but at least you aren't waiting.

Agree totally with Maidenhead. I checked my ticketing account as soon as people starting saying they had access as the email is simply for information and realised that this must be the case. It's not even about getting all of the games but the first. Going forward IF TAPS are to be used for cup tickets having 5160 odd should get me into at least one of those games. When they were published for the QPR away game a couple of years ago I was in the top 5%. They count for nothing if the club have me mistakenly in a Tier 3 area.

We are now in a position where we have to wait

A, for the club to acknowledge the error and
B, for them to sort it out for Saturday.

This is slightly different to fretting for away tickets to come through the post the morning before the game!

That's the worst thing. They haven't even BOTHERED emailing those that have been impacted to say "We haven't given you a ticket as we have assumed that you are in Tier 3"

Well, what we have done is individually sent an email saying they may have made a mistake but it is any ones guess as to whether they have been read or not yet.

If they do the right thing they will tear it all up and start from the beginning, won't hold my breath.

I can see my son walking up from the bus stop out my window, he was so excited this morning, guess I have to tell him that we are not going to any games in the near future . I won't tell him yet that he won't be getting a PS5 for Xmas either because all the skimmers have been allowed to secure the whole UK stock are selling them for a grand on ebay.

I could do with some good news at the moment to be honest.

I didn't realise that you could try to get a better seat than that allocated - I'm down very near the front in the south stand, at the edge of the east penalty area. No complaints though - I think I must have only just snuck in to the first match group.

I fully understand that STH get first dibs, and I have no problem with that, I'm not a STH due to age and other commitments, but have been a Membership holder for many years, and try to attend as many matches as possible, or listen on iFollow.

Having not received my membership renewal for this season I sent an email to the club in Sept inquiring why, this is the reply: You will be sent something separately to renew once the membership has been finalised. Please keep an eye on your emails and if you have any other questions please let me know.

Not having heard anything more I send another one a couple of days ago, this is the reply: It is yet to be confirmed whether we will be offering 2020/21 Memberships Yet. Please keep checking your emails and our website for more information in regards to memberships.

So it looks to me as if Membership might not take place at all this season, meaning with reduced crowds due to the current restrictions anyone without a ST will not get a chance to see a live match at all.

Does anyone know any different.

Huge overreaction?

A group of us have been wrongly excluded from visiting the new ground when people who have has ST many years less are going. I wish I had your confidence they will fix it, no one has had a response yet and as you can only cantact via email when will that be? Also what does "fix it" look like, put us on the end of the queue or "computer says no"?

Other people have been ST holders for 20 consecutive years and have been wrongly excluded from the first ever game in the new ground with fans, the tickets have been allocated to fans already, how do you fix that?

I assume you are either sorted already or far enough down the list for it to not be a huge issue to you.

I work in Market Research and there are free full postcode to local authority lookups available through the open geography portal, it really does take a matter of minutes to code up a database and assign tiers without the need to stick each one in individually on the Govts portal. It really is simple stuff. Speculating (not too wildly) and I reckon in my situation they have seen 'Kent' in my address and ticked me to go in the bin when I live in a London Borough

No emails whatsoever, I have sent my details regarding this as requested by the club. It does very much look like the club has not used the UK Gov covid tier web-site using full postcodes, as myself, DaveP, Maidenhead and a friend living also in Burnham,have not received emails. This is despite emailing the club stating that my full postcode shows me living in South Bucks TIER 2 and being reassured in an email from Marc Crown yesterday that I would be o.k. if living in tier 2 zone. see below . This really is
very upsetting, and has shattered my faith in the club.

That was confirmed before the season started, only those with ST's who froze them (that is let the club keep the money, not take a refund this season) will get to see games if/when we are let in.

The conclusion you have reached is exactly why they have not sold memberships this season - why charge £20 with false hope.

It's very unlikely there will be games with full attendance and with 11,000 season ticket holders already putting money down to attend matches, even if the 2k limit goes up quite a lot, there will not be tickets for all in a socially distanced environment. I am telling my partner and other friends to put August 2021 in their diaries if they are hoping to get to a game in the new stadium. It's a long way from ideal but these are unprecedented times.

I get your frustrations, I was a ST for 15 years, recently had 3 years of no ST and now renewed for this year. So yeah I am at the bottom of list now.

But okay worst case scenario someone who rightly should have attended first game doesn't. It's not end of world I'd hope they'd be rightly treated better by club in someway after that mistake.

Thanks Hobbsy, it may sound not particularly important to some but I feel I deserve to be at the first game at Lionel Road after years of supporting both home and away. Hopefully the club will make this happen

I wouldn’t get too excited about missing out at the moment due to club cock ups? They will have tickets left for the second tranch of offers (on Thursday I think?). So hopefully they will resolve in the interim. I could have taken three tickets, but due to various factors I can only take my own, so there should be at least 2 back in the pot. And I assume I will not be the only one who has ticket offers but does not take them all up.

I know it is the first game at the new stadium which make it a bit special, but at the end of the day we will all only get to 1 in 5 matches. So at the end of the day we should all see about the same number of matches, Covid restrictions and Tiers permitting.

SL5 postcode in Ascot, no email - same as my Dad and Brother. Hopefully the admin error is cleared up soon! Checked my ticket account and not eligible for Blackburn, which I understand. I'm probably in for Derby or Reading (6 year ST holder).
