Ok we have all had our say on here hopefully MB has been on the GPG seeing the response to this sad period.Mark Warburton got his farewell from the fans Tuesday night followed by the stage managed support from the players after we scored. Now is the time to show our support to the main man that is Matthew Benham who must be going through a tough time after being shafted by oneof his own paid employees.I will be hoping to join in with the "one Matthew Benham "chant when the teams come out to let him know we are with him 100% rather than supporting someone who is on their way out because they want to go in a different direction.

The Future for Brentford Football Club is Matthew Benham lets all prove we believe that Saturday at Charlton

Top post, there is a chance he may be there this weekend from what I hear, time to shove YMCA and suchlike up our backsides and get on with the real stuff.

There was me thinking NB, KB, mk1965, Robbef & Billy, all turning up to Charlton in YMCA fancy dress to show their support and togetherness with the players. Disappointed. :(

I love the players but I'd prefer they practise scoring goals than dance routines, I know you love your gay disco but there's a promotion we have to pretend to be chasing....;)

Matthew Benham does need to know that we still appreciate him for what he's done and what he will do for us, but if the team are to deliver an outstanding set of results over the rest of the season, to get us at least into the play-offs, then we need a team manager in place with the qualities of Warbs.
Listening to Warbs interview pre-Charlton, he is being 100% professional over this and is focusing on the team. If he can keep this up and persuade the players to keep going also then we could still achieve an extraordinary end of season position.
Let's support both Matthew and Mark and let them come to an agreement over the next few months of who is going to do what. All is not yet lost. COYB

We should set a time as all the singers will be spread out if its allocated seating. I know thats a bit " prem newbies " but this is very important imho

Warb will get his chant no doubt as the teams come out so maybe in the first 10 mins ?

Most support is required for those Bees fans who have failed to grasp what is actually happening under MB and whose imaginations have run riot on the recent press report.

Interesting that you think Tuesday night was a farewell to Warbs, I am assuming you expect him out before Saturday?

Agree with the thread as we haven't vocally shown enough support for MB and he certainly needs to hear it loud and proud on Saturday.

Chant positive to Benham but also to Warburton, both deserve it. Us fans have been caught in the middle a bit and we shouldn't feel we have to indicate that we're siding with anyone, as we all like/love both. We'll always support the team and club, and Benham's decision, whatever it is, we will back it.

We wouldn't be where we are without MB. I would love to been able to do what he has done for the club. I would like things to be sorted with MW though, if there is anything to sort. I do remember being disappointed when Martin Allen went but things haven't turned out too bad have they?

I don't expect him to be gone by Saturday sadly as I think it would be the best for all

Why are you so anti-Warburton? He has been the most successful BFC manager in living memory and has the unusual quality of building team spirit and developing players.
If you want him out so quickly who do you propose to replace him for the next 16 matches?

People always turn on ex-players and soon to be ex-players. It's starting early though and we still want to get promoted so don't turn on the manager or anything else.

Nobody is anti- Warbs at all but he's gone soon and possibly our best chance is for that to happen sooner rather later is how I read his post.

I cant believe anyone can start being anti-Warburton. As far as I know he has done nothing wrong. Even if he thinks differently to MB on the future path of Brentford.
Before Tuesday he was the best manager we have ever had to most people. I've been supporting the Bees for 70 years and he will always be my favourite whatever happens.

Just the tiniest tad patronising don't you think? It is not always possible for us all to be 'in the know' and I still think there are legitimate questions to be asked about decision-making structures within the club. I also think it would also be helpful if Matthew was a bit less of a background figure, though I understand and respect his reasons for not wanting too much of the spotlight. But, yes, of course: 'Matthew Benham, he's one of our own!!' :sorted::)

I'm by no means ITK, I have only digested the information in the public domain, from Spain, Denmark and here, plus the "interpretation" from Mr GPG. What I have not done is imagine approaches to MW from a whole list of clubs, especially based on bookmakers' odds, plus all sorts of doomsday scenarios. I have met a number of individuals similar to MB and my experience is that they operate on a level I struggle to comprehend but that usually is the right thing when it comes to it.

What has been done on the pitch in the last 18 months is down to Mark Warburton. Of course MB has put the money in to make it all possible. But its what is done on the training ground that has got us into the play-off positions. Let's not forget this. Just hope he continues doing it.

I have not met MB so I have no means of knowing whether I have met individuals who are similar to him. What I have seen is examples of football club owners getting beyond themselves and intervening in matters they know nothing about, with generally negative consequences for their clubs. I am now much more reassured that this is not the case in these circumstances, but, as I said, misinterpretation of motivations is much more likely when the figure in question has next to no public presence.

I have got the utmost respect for MB, and for all he has done at the club. I just hope the next man is better than the breadman.

Happy to let the owner sort out his replacement which is happening right now I'm led to believe and as we've seen in the past we always get better.MW has been the most successfull manager in my time as a fan and up to this sh*t came out I though he was fantastic however I we have to move on and I'm backing Matthew as Mark will soon be history and yesterday's news.

I cant see the logic in people saying Warbs not being in charge now is the best thing. That would be hugely unsettling for the players and makes no sense if his replacement isn't available yet. The players want to play for Warbs and he will get the most from them over the next 17 games. As for Saturday we should be singing loud and proud for MB,MW and every player on the pitch in a bees shirt. We support the club not the individuals but we should get behind every person who is striving for better things for BFC.

The comments on this thread polarise the issue between gratitude for Matthew Benham's support and apparent vision for the future of Brentford FC and a manager who has achieved more with the team than anyone could have reasonably expected. The way he is talked of as yesterday's man is not the way I want to be associated with supporter's opinion. Until there is an official announcement about Mark Warburton's position it would be respectful to show him support and appreciation because I doubt if any of you writing him off so casually could motivate anyone to work their socks off (Literally)

Total disrespect to our most successful manager ever. What an insulting quote. Do you really expect that a Spanish replacement, who probably won't be able to communicate with the team (3 exceptions), will not command their respect, has no idea of British football and probably half the "Betz cells" of MW will be an adequate replacement.
Not in my book Warburton has had his day.
