I'd bet we sign a couple of players none of us have heard of!

I can't think of anyone from the relegated clubs other than Pereira, who'll be in demand from some PL clubs. Within the Championship, many of the stand-out players were loans from PL clubs but Swansea's Cabango did look impressive enough for a young player, with Danjuma good, too, but I'd guess he's got options lined up already. Barnsley's Andersen also looked a good CB and we could do with more Mads. I wonder if we could tempt Adam Armstrong down South, too?

I think we're more likely to sign slightly higher rated players now, so we may have actually heard of some of those we're linked to! We'll still do value, but a higher value shall we say...

We definitely need another wide forward (left forward), a central midfielder, a CB realistically and a RB. One or two 'depth' options may not be bad either as some of our B-Team options realistically won't quite be good enough.

more of a leeds approach than fulham, strengthen with several nuggets that most have never heard of + JDS type prem youngsters who want to play (instead of watch).

I wonder if the b-team will see more of an intake to then feed into the main team?

The standard of the B-Team will need to improve as well now, and some players who may have got a look in at Championship level may not be able to now. We'll need to improve the quality of our intake and unfortunately some will have to move on, and I would expect a higher quality influx.

Danjuma would be good. Looking at the squad though I think a lot of them are ready for the Prem. If dalsgaard goes, I think we need a RB, cover for Rico at LB and a wide forward.

Danjuma would be great, but who would he replace?
I’m more than happy to start next season with Bryan and Ivan up top.

Perhaps we will be back in for Robin Hack who we were linked with previously?

Michael Olise would be a decent signing

The Championship players who caught my eye most last season were, obviously, Guehi and Danjuma, and, less obviously, Dael Fry, the Middlesbrough centre back.

I like Danjuma but I see us looking for the next Danjuma rather than paying £20m odd to get him and his fat wages out of Bournemouth.

I thought Djed Spence looked decent for Boro. As a 20 year old Londoner (ex Fulham academy, spit) who can play LB or RB I suspect we could make him a very attractive offer.

I can also see why were interested in Marc Bola but I think that ship might have sailed.

It will be interesting to see what players leave as well - hopefully the likes of Toney will hang around but a move to Spurs to replace Kane would be hard to knock back wouldn't it. just the signing on fee would be worth millions to him.

However I am sure most of them will have clauses in their contacts upping their wages to premier league levels

We're blessed - as one of the Sky commentators pointed out - with several players who display a high degree of versatility, being able to cover in a wide variety of positions. We may not need to buy in all much, perhaps two or three quality players with a similar ability to slot in almost anywhere. We have Rico and JDS to return, as good as new signings, and the highly experienced Reid might well be worth a short-term contract. In the season just completed we beat four of the five Premier League teams we encountered. All in all, I'm not expecting a massive buy-in in the next couple of months - one or two young "European" talents à la Janelt, perhaps a marquee signing, and that's it.

Will def need a ball playing CB and some flair and pace..

Anderson (on loan at Fulham) Danish, no idea what his value is however.

Are we going to stick with 3 at the back or go back to 4-3-3? I suspect the latter in which case we'll need some back up at full back and another winger.

I think having the flexibility and unpredictability of being able to switch between them has been key to our success at the tail end of this season. If we move back to 433 it’ll be different to how we played it last season/early this season with CN/MJ/JDS and be more to accommodate playing both CN and VJ in a double pivot. Lots of homework over the summer for Frank and his coaching team and who we buy.

Would love Olise from Reading. In the last year of his deal so wouldn’t be the most expensive transfer. Think he’d be excellent for us.

Styles would be another good one. Imagine we’ll get a couple of unknowns from around the world.

Tyrese Campbell please..
Good call, ,but Stoke will be VERY reluctant to let him go (I think he's not long into a new contract), while BFC might want to wait another bit to see when/whether he recovers fully from his serious injury?

Anyhow, I wonder will Brexit hinder us further now we're in the PL? For as I understand the general principle, work permit availability is in part related to the level of football you're playing at, meaning eg that Scottish Premier League clubs are allowed to sign players who wouldn't qualify for an English PL club.

Meaning that we may no longer be permitted to sign young players from France's Ligue 2, for instance, so might be pushed toward Ligue 1? Scandinavian club players might also be "beneath" us, if you see what I mean.

would we want/be able to afford anyone from the relegated prem teams, I wonder?

Why would we want them?

They have just been relegated so weren’t good enough.

That was the template of so many promoted teams for so many years who picked up relegated players and went down themselves.

Looks like we will need an attacking midfielder if EM goes and Josh not fit till October

One of the great joys of yesterday is that we should be able to keep the likes of Rico, Josh, Christian and Ivan. Phil, Ras and the recruitment team haven't let us down yet and it will be fascinating to see what's planned in the book marked Plan B.

Benham is a master tactician. There's little doubt he will have a plan already in place. This transfer window will be fascinating.
That's why I'm confident we won't do a Fulham or West Brom. Norwich will though. They do every two years.

Then why don’t we spend our cash on buendia. He’s been a one man team for Norwich 😉

Seriously, I don’t think we need lots, mainly a backup for Rico, a new winger with pace to burn, an experienced cb who doesn’t mind being back up, a gk of Daniels goes, a rb if Dalsgaard goes, an attacking mid if Marcondes goes... and that’s it really.

We should be looking to re integrate Halil if he’s back.

All this talk of Ras, Phil etc. Isn’t Lee Dykes our director of recruitment?
I believe Lee Dykes reports to the Directors of Football and that they, together with Thomas and maybe others form the core team. Nobody makes individual decisions.

Never heard of him. 🤷‍♂️ The only Norwich player I know is the Irish lad. Tim O'Pukey? I quite like that West Brom bloke that looks like Lionel Richie. Go after him maybe?
