Much as I don't like his attitude and playacting he is decent and I wouldn't be upset if we signed him as first choice for next season
Agree with your view on Roberts.
Has a great engine & whips decent balls in.
I believe he only has 12 months left on his contract.
We could do a lot worse imo

Interesting.. he seems to be contracted until 2027 though!

....and was sold on 16/9/20 for an 'initial' fee of £15m.

None of that makes any sense unless Granada/Watford have a buy back clause that they want to exercise.

(sorry, just realised Pozzo sold Granada to some Chinese fella in 2016).

I think we need more goals from headers. Can't be more thank 5 this year from defenders. With Henrik going that's going to impact this too.
Yep and Pontus said he can't jump because of his knees which is why he didn't score any. We really need to make set-pieces count next season

Not much point in him going up for corners then, as he often gives away a foul.

Daniel Wass from Valencia??

Wass is the man who replaced Dalsgaard as current national team right back. Can also play holding mid.

Valencia are in financial turmoil as a result of the disastrous mismanagement of the club by Peter Lim, and a fire sale of best players is once again
expected. Only just avoided relegation last season.

Daniel Wass is a good offensive back. He can play several positions; right back, right wing and central midfield. He is much more offensive than Dalsgaard.

Other realistic Danish transfers could be:

Erik Sviatchenko: He plays for FC Midtjylland and has previously played for Celtic. He's a central defender. He is rumored to be at Brentford. But in my eyes, he is not good enough at all.

Joackim Andersen: Central defender from Lyon, who was loaned to Fulham. He will be a great reinforcement.

Rasmus Falk: Offensive midfielder from FC Copenhagen. He has an excellent technique and was fantastic when FCK met Manchester United in the Europa League. He is a bit small and not physically strong.

Kasper Dolberg: He plays in Nice. He was once hailed as a giant talent. But he stalled a bit with an injury. He has stated that he would like to go to the PL sometime.

Victor Nelsson: Captain of the Danish u21 national team. He is central defender for FC Copenhagen. He will be a good reinforcement. Strong, foresighted, fights hard, often good in big games. I really want to see Nelsson in Brentford. He will be perfect for British football.

If Dalsgaard is going to FCM how about us signing their current right back Dion Cools? He looks a more than decent player and a good size too.

He's got a great name. I'm picturing big hair, gold lamé suits and never without sun glasses.

Would you just love to have a sneaky look through the DoF’s phones for an hour reading the texts and emails .. it would put all our minds at rest to see who’s coming and who’s going!
My mind is completely at rest :)

Every summer in recent years i've just sat back and had absolute confidence that we'd do brilliant business in the window and i've always been happy with the outcome.I don't have a clue on many of the players we do end up signing anyway so knowing their names wouldn't help me.

Add to that if i knew who we were after then so would our rivals so i'm happy to be ignorant about our dealings.

German U21 winning goalscorer Lukas Nmecha could be loaned out by Man City or sold for approx £6.9m to Leicester, Southampton, Aston Villa, ourselves or Bayer Leverkusen
The 22yo has been on loan at Anderlecht where he scored 14 goals

Sounds like a journo speculating rather than a solid link.

Interestingly he’s also England qualified and played from U16-U21 for England too. Has had over 50 games in the Championship on loan at Preston and Boro.

If he does come here, prize to @kempy for suggesting him in the 2017 transfer speculation thread

He was also cited by @BaildonBee in the match thread for our 4-3 game against Preston in 18/19 as one of their players who impressed.

How do u find this out is there a way to search this out on this message board?
Yes. At the top right of the page there’s a magnifying glass icon which lets you search the GPG. With an unusual name like Nmecha I got straight to the Preston match thread post and the 2017 transfer post after the mentions in the current discussion. Amazing tech from @Banana towers pre-fundraising!

He's a midfielder but if this is who it is then wow, the boys got work rate and any player with a reputation for work rate can play for us any day of the week
Janelt would have someone to talk to.

Do we prefer to buy early and sell late? Can't quite remember what Phil Giles said last year.

Nottm Forest’s Joe Worrall, probably not a possible for JoJo, because under contract until 2024 so definitely not free or cheap but a tall CB at 6’4 but maybe more likely to go to Burnley allowing Tarkie to leave. Unfortunately only averages about a goal every 40 games for Forest.

Think it could be although I’m a little surprised if we do. Good prem experience that said which could be important and probably a good influence and character around the group .

In my Daydreams.....
Players such as

Jaakko Oksanen
Central Midfield
AFC Wimbledon > end of loan> Brentford

Jan Zamburek
Central Midfield
Shrewsberry > end of loan> Brentford

Dominic Thompson
Left-Back
Swindon Town > end of loan> Brentford

Luka Racic
Northern Hampton Town > end of loan > Brentford

I sure that some of these players might get spells in cup runs but could be transfer d this window or put on another loan spell

A goal kick from Harrow Borough FC
If we want to keep up the Danish quota, how about 1 that’s already here? Burnley have let Arman Taranis go (aged 19), having only signed him in Nov20. Danish youth international forward, should be well-known to us as once of FCM.
