I heard today that, very sadly, Hanworth Villa legend Tony Buss passed away on 19th December. He was a terrific servant to that club, and will be greatly missed by all those at 'The Ranch' and all those who knew him from local football, and Combined Counties football etc.
Our thoughts are with Hanworth Villa, who are reeling from the shock , at this very sad time for them.
There is a very moving piece on Tony Buss , on the Hanworth Villa website.
RIP Tony Buss

lots of Buss' seem to play for the club, how old was he?

Only 54....
He had been with Villa since the club was formed in 1976, and ,after retiring as a player, took over the youth section, which subsequently provided the nucleus of a very succesfull first-team, which he later managed on their way to the Combined Counties Premier. He stepped aside last year , and assisted Bobby 'The Dog' Dawson , and the duo took Villa to a terrific FA cup campaign this season, which has seen them also excel in the league and FA Vase.
Two of his nephews still play for Villa , and his family have been very instrumental in the admirable rise of this community-based club.
