That made more sense as I was on the 6:48 and didnāt see any police at Euston even after following it on Twitter from the trainI believe the person stated in the twitter thread it was the 5:48, but I can't find that now. Didn't see any issues on the 6:48, other than the bloke who did many a trip to find the beer cart only to be told it was card only. (Someone did take a toilet door off the hinges on the train up, but it wasn't any bees fans).
Just seen that. Thatās appalling.Always an excuse not to nick people - cf. latest "like"

This tweet was liked by the MPS Brentford Twitter account:
Seems to have got ālight touchā and āsoft touchā mixed up.This copper is a idiot. Needs to be replaced ASAP.

Nutshell. And if the coppers locked up all the hooligans then they would be out of a cushy job and might have to go looking for actual violent criminals.Football cops snd hooligans work closely together was always my understanding of how things worked.
Hooligans tell coppers during the week of their travel arrangements and met locations. So they can stand behind brentford coppers and use them as an excuse for not engaging big bad northern hooligans. Pretty certain the lines of communication to police are numerous from wanna be hooligans particularly the bed wetting variety. Used to always make me laugh when I would enquire of a copper where should I avoid drinking at a game or which train will be action packed potentially. They could give me these details on a Thursday ahead of a Saturday gsme.
No need for burn phones and all that b***ocks when you pop into the station and just tell the police.
Benefit to police lots of overtime looking after our hooligans (heroās) as they wander around the country looking hard but seeking to avoid trouble at all costs.
Some of the best and biggest grasses are the hooligans that follow brentford. Itās actually f***en hilarious
You can tell what kind of person he is just by his Twitter avatarCrickey, made his account private within 3 minutes.

.... this is the crux....there was no social media in the 70s/80s.... violence was actually real..... but football hooliganism is by and large a thing of the past.....these lads will never get to experience what it was like.... ironically as a direct consequence of social media...its a paradox......the angst of teenage boys is being played out in carriages of trains and mobile phones in 2022.....not on the terraces......but at least they won't get a steel toecap....or a brick in the face.....much safer to be a social media hooligan methinks.....sticks and stones tend to hurt....name calling on Twitter doesn't.One of the life lessons of social media is that those that live in echo chambers are usually surprised when the door is prised open and the humanity of the real world hits them in the face.
Obviously a man of many talents - most of them well hiddenI didn't know @rebus knew Sign Language?
They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.Lifeās too short to argue with morons. Quick, everyone get back to the Eriksen thread
Case in point was Port Vale where "a meeting has been arranged" away from the ground that plod knew all about and therefore was able to prevent happening. Much to the "surprise" of those that grassed themselves to the police.Football cops snd hooligans work closely together was always my understanding of how things worked.

Me and the kids too.@rebus can I have a lift to Everton please?
Ah, a Freeman on the Land nutjob. Heās probably just tweeting gibbertwaddle about how the Magna Carta (sic) preserves his right to be a racist unless he consents to you using his legal name.Crickey, made his account private within 3 minutes.

What was he banned by the club for?I said some stupid things which I apologise for
Dear god I have ready some drivel in my time.
Firstly, IF the footage comes back that the boys on the train have racially abused anyone, then yes they need to be condemned. The song in the video is stupid, yes. Racist? No. If not, then singing and being stupid in a carriage full of mostly football supporters and some commuters (letās not pretend that train had no football fans, it would have been full of both Brentford and Liverpool, alongside commuters) is not perfect behaviour but Iām sure it wouldnāt have given too many sleepless nights. As for the man in the first tweet, I hope he and his son are ok.
Anyway. Why I have decided to post this morning whilst having a cup of tea before work. Can someone please check in on Trevor? I think heās been hitting the bottle a bit too hard with his late night ramblings. I mean, if youāre going to write essays on events you have no clue about, at least make them somewhat believable! āArranged meetsā at port vale? Do me a favour. You yourself know that some GPG users were aboard that coach Trevor, and the likes of those would certainly not be going to arranged fights. Check with the police, there was no trouble, no racist chants, no bother at all. Merely a way of travel and a good drink to an old school away day.
Also an alarming amount of hate towards the āTW8 sticker manā. Grow up. This is a man trying to earn a living. Heās done great work alongside the club during lockdown and causes you no harm at all.
And before I get tarred with the same brush too heavily, no I wasnāt on said train and no I have not sent sh*t in the post, or in train toilet sinks!! Now we always hear a lot of āyou canāt blame all for one persons actionsā when something happens. This included! You can not blame everyone who speaks to any of these lads on the train. Iām sure plenty on here donāt like me, and I know I have friends on here also. Itās ridiculous to even suggest that everyone who associates should be held accountable!
Anyway, I wonāt be posting again, just wanted to make sure you lot in here are checking in on Trevor. Those late night drinking sessions arenāt good for anyone. I myself have had problems with drink and drugs in the past Trev, Iāve turned myself around and am over 3 years T total. If you want advice, Iāll be happy to help!
Not going to hide behind a username, my name is James Stacey, part of the infamous Surrey Electrical Alliance, Churchill statue defender, and whatever else you want to call me.
PS, whoever it was who reported me to the paper, firstly I said some stupid things which I apologise for and secondly, trying to come after my business didnāt work, I had the best year on paper Iāve ever had last year. Thanks all! Enjoy the rest of the season!![]()
I'm perfectly fine, thank you!Can someone please check in on Trevor?
Have a guessWhat was he banned by the club for?
I already knew but perhaps should have made clear that what I was getting at is that it wasnāt surprising that the poster was playing down the incident in the OP whilst at the same time down playing their own appalling behaviour.Have a guess
If there isnāt a conviction does that mean it didnāt happen?Perhaps all sides could draw a line and pick this topic up again IF there is a conviction following on from the police investigation.
No of course not, but I prefer to hope for the best than always expect the worst in every situation. If there isnāt a conviction does that mean it didnāt happen?
....indeed....old hooligans retire gracefully.... when responsibility comes calling.....just another point in case. The BYE was always a name that wasn't going to age well but it seems that one by one they are maturing enough to join us old farts and post on the GPG
It sounds like one brave older fan did.Good post and maybe time for all of us to wind it in and let it play out. However and not looking to have the last word but I have it on good authority that some stuff the chap and his son experienced was not lads banter at football and pretty low life bullying, easy in a big crowd of fuelled up lads. Someone with a bit of decency and backbone would have known it was wrong and knocked it on the head.
It sounds like one brave older fan did.
I think weād all like to hope for the best in every situation but the problem here is the person who tweeted the original incident gave a very detailed description of the language used. Heās a blue tick lawyer without any obvious motive to make anything up.No of course not, but I prefer to hope for the best than always expect the worst in every situation.
Even if the lads are basically weaklings, telling a rowdy group to simmer down is not that easy. Otherwise thereād never be much in the way of discipline problems at schools. And most lads at school havenāt been on the Kopparberg for 8 hours already.Im not sure youād need to be that brave.
More melts than a power cut at the Walls factory.
Edmundo would have sorted it but we all drove him over the edge on the āthings others say about brentfordā thread.Just read the whole threadā¦..wow proper mentalā¦..this is an instant classic,,,,,for all the wrong reasons !!
Thereās some on here from both sides of whatever argument there originally was who havent come out of this at all well and that includes the boards ownerā¦..where were the moderators in all this madness to let that deteriorate so fast ?

If we're talking about "lifetime bans" then I'd expect it wouldn't have to come down to a "my word v yours" scenarioIt depends a bit on whether you believe the man with no reason to lie or not, doesnāt it?
So after pretty much 8 pages of nonsense, there's still no proof of anything other than 1 person on a train saying "brentford batty boys". Whilst I agree it's absolutely not a good look for them of for the club, what has happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? I haven't seen or heard any racism so for people to be calling for lifetime bans is a bit much no?
Yep, you're right. Didn't have the volume of my earphones all the way up. Homophobia has no place in today's society but you'll never be able to get rid of it, same with racism. If the person can be successfully identified then I have no problem with the club issuing a ban. But for life? and for everyone in the video? Seems a bit harshIf you listen, the full line was actually āSergi Canos is a Brentford batty boyā¦ā
