So did my girlfriend.
I think that means all members can buy? Not just the ones that expressed an interest?
The "expressions of interest" are probably just used to determine the top TAPs for the 5% of tickets that go to members.

This is the way I understand it

So 10,000 Members
150 Tickets ( 5 % of 3000 )

If you are 200th in the list on TAP's

Then you need 50 people to have failed to complete the form for you to get a ticket in first tranche

Irrelevant for this fixture though, as it would appear those in the highest ranks of TAPS haven't taken up purchases!

Can definitely see this being on General Sale next week.

Does this mean anyone with over 3000 or so TAPs will be able to get to almost any away game? Demand would appear to be well under what many would have expected. I think for some of us the spectre of Southampton has yet to fade.

Any STHer with over 1500 seems guaranteed to get a ticket. Maybe except for Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and the Manchester clubs. Everton too?

no suprise....anyone who wants to go to villa will easily get a ticket.....needs to go on general sale just to get anywhere near 3k
Why though? I was surprised to get an email today saying members can buy tickets from 10am tomorrow. I really thought all 3,000 would be snapped up by the near 12,000 STH. Wonder why the demand isn’t there? Shouldn’t complain as it gives the likes of myself a chance to go. Anyone know what the restrictions are on done seats as I thought there were no pillars in any of the stands at AV?

Crikey - 1500? Is Arsenal that much of an attraction or just near.? I could not believe how disappointing it was. Tottenham definitely worth going to. I'd of course be keen to go to all the games but Palace is much more of a draw than Arsenal for me.

Lots of STHers and PSHers just don't "do" aways.

But still you’d think a quarter of the most loyal fans would want to go to one of the nearest away matches plus the added ‘attraction’ of ex manager and player?

Also am I right in saying every clubs away allocation is a max of 3,000 or 10% of capacity whichever is lower?

As said above
Large amount of ST holders didnt do aways
Now some who would have gone pre pandemic are unwilling to get train or coach up to Villa ??

Also we did play Villa at least twice recently so less appeal of Villa Park as well

I am second guessing but it’s a bank holiday weekend and last weekend for many before kids go back to school. This may in part explain why it has gone to all members so early.

Yes. That’s good, isn’t it?
Totally agree, like many ex season ticket holder fans moved out the area, but have still constantly been to numerous away games up & down the country (mate has always bought the ticket's so had all the taps X 2). Joined as a member this week, was a £1.00 last time. It's great what's happening & I'm under no illusions we can't get to a few more northern/midlands games. Hey ho.

Basically the club has worked initially on the basis of sky high demand and limited to v high TAPs STa then dropped it to reality. As long as they post out on time, this makes sense.

Hang on a min .. so all these new season ticket holders moaning on here and on Loyal that they had no chance of away game tickets because they had no or little number of TAPs have got a chance of getting a ticket to our 2nd away game of the season?
This is true but we all know that Man U, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City will be a different story! Funny to think that because of recent history , Villa and Leeds are not big draws for us this year.

Because not all of us can dedicate the best part of a whole day every weekend. They/we have partners and kids who do other things that need our help and support doing those things. Bit different if you're in your late teens / early 20's with no commitments. I do most home games and 4 or 5 away each season. Very happy with that Ta.

Yes and I have all those commitments too but I’d still find a way to escape! I just found it very odd the take up for our second away PL game was so poor but I guess it allows fans like myself a chance so all is well.

It's a bank holiday, most have been to Villa already, it's a dump area.
All this said, it's still a fantastic ground and we are in The Prem!!
A good one for all those moany Members who thought they'd never get a chance to watch us this season.

I agree … but beggars can’t be choosers if they genuinely want to increase their TAPs and see away games

2300 TAPS, I was not confident I would get that many away tickets but as time goes on it’s looking promising. Fingers crossed…So far, so good.

agreed. Over 1500 at the start of the season looks quite safe. Not sure about Anfield though...

Yeah, I’d imagine Liverpool is going to be the most in demand away game.

Maybe United too, second from last away game.

Any tips on how I buy a ticket for me plus a junior who's registered on my account? He doesn't have his own separate account so we can't log in simultaneously. Please don't suggest I call the ticket office! :banghead:

If he's a member and one of your F&F, you should be able to buy for him.

for the last time....ANYONE who wants a ticket for villa away WILL GET ONE......3k is plenty sufficient for this game ;) most who do the aways have been there at least twice and its not on the big list for this season.....save youre worrying for how many taps you got for west ham, spurs, chelsea, arsenal, man utd, liverpool, everton, leicester and watford......every other game you should be ok for ;)

Surely the London away games will have highest demand? Even if we have done Arsenal and Chelsea in recent memory.

He is yes. Great

He is yes. Was worried they might just restrict purchases to the members account only.
Credit where it's due.....I emailed the ticket office at 9.12 and they've already responded confirming the above.

Yes but you wouldn't have been able to complete the transaction as 43 screens later it would inform you that you can only buy one despite it letting you put 6 in your basket.

As a relocated to midlands Brentford fan, i'm extremley pleased to have got one of the 10am tickets!

I'll be travelling from the east midlands (Leicestershire) myself, if anyone would like a lift etc, let me know :)

Ticket arrived , well done WINNIE

Lower tier too , happy days 🍺
Arrived already?! Nice.

Have you been before? I only ask, because I wanted to know if I get lumped in the upper tier can I access the lower concourse for drinks? Aware they don't serve alcohol upstairs.
