I hope he starts every game until CN is fit, he allows Jenson and Josh to play there normal role and we look a far better side with those 3 starting.

I want to see him and Norgaard play together in front of them , Dasilva Jenson maybe Marcondes even GhoddosI hope he starts every game until CN is fit, he allows Jenson and Josh to play there normal role and we look a far better side with those 3 starting.
It would probably mean Christian taking the box-to-box role from Josh, though, otherwise we'd lose an attacker.I want to see him and Norgaard play together in front of them , Dasilva Jenson maybe Marcondes even Ghoddos
Playing those two as cover for both back for and attacking midfield would be very interesting
We could have a diamond formation but I doubt TF would consider that. I certainly wouldnt. It would probably mean Christian taking the box-to-box role from Josh, though, otherwise we'd lose an attacker.
Nørgaard gets into the box and has a shot, although goals only in the league cup; a few assists in the Championship, though.OK missed his big chance on Saturday but great to see a midfielder ,especially from the holding role, getting into that position and really attacking the ball. Reminded me a bit of Dougie.Encouraging.
I said that on Saturday too............OK missed his big chance on Saturday but great to see a midfielder ,especially from the holding role, getting into that position and really attacking the ball. Reminded me a bit of Dougie.Encouraging.
Didn't work against a high pressing Fulham in the POF with MJ & JDS either side of CN did it though? Doesn't really work if you're chasing shadows all over the pitch like Jensen did on the right that night.Er.... Surely it would have just "moved" Jensen further forward, so same positions, different personnel. Probably given us another outlet higher up, rather than the permanently unavailable Marcondes...
Ive been very impressed with him but I expect even he didn’t expect to play so much so soon.It will be tough on him if he has to drop out when Norgaard returns, same with Sorensen, they have both been
very capable.
But Jannson's form recently has not been top notchIve been very impressed with him but I expect even he didn’t expect to play so much so soon.
Sorensen’s looked good as well and they both have big futures here but to get back among the automatic promotion mix we need better than capable at the moment.
Agreed. But we still need him.But Jannson's form recently has not been top notch
Maybe it would be worth swapping Canos and Mbeumo around. Canos has always looked better on the right and maybe Mbeumo may enjoy some time on the left. He would then have to take the right back on a lot more. Just a suggestion. It's a similar trajectory to Mbeumo. He wouldn't have got all the starts if Canós had not been injured last season. We'd probably then had loads of fans saying that Sergi should be dropped in favour of a player who'd got better and better the less he'd been seen.
Yes I think this is the best solution for now by far.In my opinion we should start Vitaly, he’s not Norgaard but he’s decent and is a square peg in a square hole. This means Jensen and JDS can play their usual roles and we have better balance and link from front to back.
Dropping Jensen deep then Ghoddos into midfield with Vitaly on the bench after 2 weeks rest feels unnecessary!
Agree - although I would imagine Vitaly not starting today is more due to the fact TF is trying to rotate players ahead of a busy schedule of games. In my opinion we should start Vitaly, he’s not Norgaard but he’s decent and is a square peg in a square hole. Well he can't rotate because he doesn't have enough Championship level players to choose from, simple as that.Agree - although I would imagine Vitaly not starting today is more due to the fact TF is trying to rotate players ahead of a busy schedule of games.
Definitely. Very mature performance. Thought he was excellent.MoM tonight by a country mile![]()
And after he’s back for me.Starting every game now please until Norgaard’s back.
Agree 100%. With those two, it gives enormous flexibility for JDS, Jensen and/or Ghoddos behind Toney and/or Forss, particularly if the wingers are struggling. And after he’s back for me.
We have a good squad but Thomas has to adjust the system to fit the players.
Now leave him there! In my opinion we should start Vitaly, he’s not Norgaard but he’s decent and is a square peg in a square hole. This means Jensen and JDS can play their usual roles and we have better balance and link from front to back.

Totally agree, he has settled in well, I think if he had played on Sat. we may have nicked a win.Easily MOTM, hasn’t played poorly for us yet. Nice under the radar signing, still very young too.
He mentioned in his first interview that he can play the 8 as well as the 6, so that's a nice option to have and keep the midfield freshQuality player. I think he can play in front of Nøgaard when he gets back as another option myself.
Needs to learn the 2 and the 4 before we can appreciate. He mentioned in his first interview that he can play the 8 as well as the 6, so that's a nice option to have and keep the midfield fresh
For my money, he's heads, shoulders, knees and toes above the restNeeds to learn the 2 and the 4 before we can appreciate.
Spot on AB.I think when Norgaard returns we may have the key to grinding wins against tough teams by playing him and Janelt together. It’d free the full backs, make us rock solid in the middle and the two of them are also good at progressive passes. Maybe not last season’s free flowing football but the option to bully difficult opponents like Karanka’s Boro did to us in 14-15/15-16.
It’d still be our 433 and would not involve any other tactical change so there’s no philosophical reason for TF to object. He has deployed two notionally defensive midfielders before (whether on the basis of the players themselves or their roles on the day). I agree Fulham wouldn’t have had a sniff against this layout, but they barely did anyway apart from a very fortunate free kick.Spot on AB.
I think we'd have gone up if we'd had this option at Wembley ...... but do you think Thomas would/will go for it?
