HI! How do I get back into my old hairman account? I'm locked here now!
Click on your username in the top right hand corner (desktop). Click "log out". Then enter your proper details :)

Mmmm ... but I'm still back here using my newly registered account. I want my old account back. 'No change is sexy' as Jah Wobble once said.

I’m guessing that it only takes you to the new posts on a thread if you have viewed the thread on the “new” site previously.

There is now an option to mark a thread as read.
Thanks Les. I’m probably just missing the obvious but I can’t see any option for this on mobile. Any chance of a shove in the right direction.

Hmmm, how irritating. It seems it is not an option on mobile unless you go landscape. Will have a look to see if I can find anything better.

On mobile version has the grey band containing username and avatar become a little bigger / more dominant overnight?

Or am I imagining things?!

Yes, haven't quite got to the bottom of why. Will look at it over time.

The swear filter seems to have disappeared.

It's looking good. At the moment that's my only comment. As a crotchety old get, I tended to use the old GPG at a very basic level, so it's all about ease of use to me. The next few days will reveal it all to me.

Is there an option to have the latest posts at the top of the page rather than the bottom? This is a query rather than a change request! ;)

Yeh, I want this too and it has been asked already. It was a changeable setting in the old system but not in this. It's on my snagging list.

When I am on mobile and click on the thread to read it takes me to page 1 of the thread and not the last page.

Don't understand that. Have you only just started reading the new site? If so, I suggest you mark the entire site read and let your Unread posts build from there.

I click on the page which says new posts

When you then click on a thread it takes you to page 1 of that thread and not the last one

As has been said previously, your reading history has not been migration. So use "Mark forums read" (at the top). After doing that the functionality will work as expected.

How do you get rid of the watched threads from the top of the forum homepage? I have several from 2008 that appear above the forum list...

Unwatch the thread. Top right menu when you are in the thread.

Ermmm.....Pass ?
It all looks very snazzy. Top work, folks.

On the new version of the activity feed, is there a way in the back end to (1) show the full post rather than a snippet and (2) not display likes, etc. It makes for a lot of scrolling (see screengrab).
I found an answer to the second point: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/disable-likes-on-recent-activity.125644/

IMO the only two people who would want to see likes in the activity feed are the poster and the person liking the post.
