Was in the original renderings...

LR_staircase.gif

and the plans...

Interestingly it looks possible it may not be retained if / when the hotel site is developed.

Ah interesting. This is not listed as a public entrance/exit in any planning app before the Duffy Masterplan was released in Jan 2019 (well, as far as I can see)

Good googling!

All the stuff I have is from end 2017. I cannot find any specific reference to it (in words) but it is shown in all the graphics that discuss access e.g. The Transport Assessment Addendum..

I do agree that what has been built looks narrower than it looks on the plans. Wide enough I am sure but not exactly Wembley Way proportions. I guess if it is removed when / if they progress with the hotel they don't want to waste money.

I’d go and take a walk now to have a look, but it’s raining! 🙁

Question. What is the plan for entrance and exit away from the stadium for the North stand mob?

It will depend on the Met. If they want total separation of home and aways, then the only access is the North Access Road, on the left of the pictures here between the wall alongside the rail line and underneath the stand overhang. If fans are allowed to mix, then you can also access the other end, which will take you round to the SE corner, where the new bridge will take you across towards the Chiswick roundabout and Gunnersbury.

I hoping to exit the other end ot the North Stand and go up the A4 via the new staircase and Lionel Road. Looks like it should work.

Thanks. So will we have access to the station and Kew or would we have to go the long way round?

Coming out of the North Stand, turning left, if you go left at the end instead of going up the stairway, then you'll walk to the SW corner and then on to Kew Bridge station or further towards the High Street or across to the bridge itself.

Or go up the stairs and turn left.

Yes, I think that is going up to come down the gradient of Lionel Road again but it will avoid walking across those exiting the West Stand and into those coming around from the South.
