I'm going to have to be quick off the mark if I'm going to get tickets this season...🤪 do folks have any tips on finding out asap when ticket windows open?

Twitter?
Can I sign up for an email alert on the club site?
Is there a thread on the Grapevine that I can subscribe to and get an alert?

Definitely don’t phone or email the club direct!

Happy to help. 😁

Well, obviously, a well run and professional football ticket office would invite subscriptions for email and text alerts, as well as post simultaneously on Twitter and Facebook and other social media platforms the announcements.

On the above basis, I suggest you pop down to the actual Ticket Office every now and then. There’ll be a post-it note on a random window saying the tickets will go on sale between 0300-0400hrs on alternative Wednesdays. Cash only, no online sales.

Well at least I know I haven't missed something obvious 😎. You'd think an email out to those within the relevant TAPs bands would be the minimum....

Keep those suggestions coming....

The best info so far is here:

@Locutus Assuming you are a member with low TAP points:

For Cat A games, there is a 4 day window followed by a 3 day windows before tickets go on General Sale. So you best bet is to synchronise your watch to the 3 day window having been forewarned of that by the opening of the 4 day window.

For Cat B games, you should be able to get a ticket if you are reasonably awake.

Keeping an eye on this thread might help with anticipating sales windows too:

I’ve been watching Brentford play since I moved here 20 years ago. I just don’t have a season ticket. But the club does still seem to struggle with its ticketing system including the comms.

I’m fairness to silly hat he wasn’t coating you off, rather the fact that he agrees that the club should email you when eligible !

Sure thing and I took it that way. My background is in IT and I when I think I can see ways to make it better with simple ideas, it’s a wee bit frustrating. It’s tense enough watching the games 😩

Indeed. And text its customers. If the NHS can email and text millions of people about COVID jabs then Brentford can very easily set up the same for its several thousand customers to inform them about ticket sales.

This is absolutely *not* rocket science for them to keep their paying customers in the loop :(

I have a season ticket but can't get to the opening game now it's been moved to Fri. How can I offer the seat to someone else as the exchange doesn't seem to have kicked in?

I get texts from BFC, I've no idea how. Also nothing since Wembley.

It’ll kick in soon. Probably Thursday or Friday. 🤷‍♂️

Shameful lack of self promotion from 3 mods so far on this thread.

The best way of finding out anything BFC related has been and always will be here on the GPG. It may get announced first somewhere else (but often not) but someone will always post it immediately here.

Advert over....
