I know of three, must be at least ten . . .
Andy the Pole
Nick Logan
Jambo (NL made him)

I am sure there are many more that missed one of the greatest comebacks in living memory.

I left D Block in Braemar at halftime but went to on Ealing Road in the second half.

I'm glad you've done this. It was on my mind too. OK, I'll own up to missing one goal. Was devastated to see the TV screen behind Braemar show us at 1-0 down at half time, having left 30 seconds early to take a piss. I actually had no idea whatsoever and thought it might be a mistake as no noise whatsoever registered in the toilet behind Braemar. So I'm sure I wasn't the only one to be stunned by the half time score.

As posted on another thread my 18 month old got fed up around 75 mins in so we left to ambush Millwall.

Happy to post a picture of him on here so the real super fans can punch him in the face and lecture him on true support next time he comes (Reading game probably). Its the least he deserves, disloyal ****.

One of our group left at 2-0, decided to call it a day and catch the earlier train home to Brighton. Been coming since 1975. Some people will never learn. Stand up Basher Bee.

Saw quite a few rise from their seats a 2 0, judging from the Globe attendance post match quite a few had gone home in a bad mood !

I made the mistake of leaving early against MK Dons a few years back when 3 down and getting battered. Haven't made that mistake again thankfully.

Mine's slightly different. I was clapping the boys off at the end. A fellow fan has a pop at me in my end of row seat. "Move, people can't get out cos of you. You're holding them all up". I'm clapping the boys off". You're holding them all up. They want to go home". Unfeckin believable. I bet none of them had to get home to Portland in Dorset!! My final point; "we've had a ****ing great win and I'm getting grief from you". If I'd have been asked politely; "mate, I know it was a great win but there's a few who can't get by. Would you mind"? He'd have got a "sorry mate, didn't realise". The irony is I sit end of row so I can make a quick get away as soon as final whistle blows so I can get back to fecking Dorset which had the fecking M3 closed today!! I made it but some Bees didn't. You couldn't make it up.

My 5 y.o.says to me on 87 "daddy I need a wee" and people thought I had left.
See the winner though and everything else.

That said the evidence is mounting that he's the jinx ruining our season, only seen us score one goal in the 3 games (Brum, Hull and Millwall) he's been to so far....

His next game is Reading, get your mortgage on draw or away win :kingkev:

I used to be a long distance commuter to work, and found that those with the shortest journeys were the least patient, and so your experience doesn't surprise me.

Had we lost yesterday, a certain few posters would have been all over this messageboard like the proverbial skin complaint. However, not a dickie bird in praise of an outstanding comeback. Have some people left the forum early?

The most concerning thing about this thread is that many of the people named on this thread would rather be associated with the virtue of steadfast loyalty. This definitely calls into question their resilience. They’ve missed one of the greatest comebacks in the history of Griffin Park. Oh well. Brentford fans are used to suffering. This sorry crowd, slinking off into the encroaching darkness are suffering now. Good job too.

Whilst I did stay to the end you have to think why these people felt the need to go. We must be able to sympathise to a certain extent?

I think the only time I've left early was when we got hammered at home by Huddersfield, some years ago. My steadfastness is partly built on eternal optimism (for the Bees), a desire to get my moneys worth, filing the disappointments under "character building" and the notion that every once and while magic happens. I was with my Dad and eldest son in the disabled section and a guy left shortly before the fun started, I hope he hadn't left the ground when the first went in, had a Camp Grenada moment and turned those wheels around. He had done the hard grafting up to around the 80'.

Guy behind us led his party out ten minutes from the end making sure how everyone heard his white remarks about how he'd be better off down the pub. Pathetic. So sorry for the young kid who was with him. Probably one of the loudest singers of 'is there a fire drill at away grounds'. Support the team, stay till the end and clap the players off the pitch every time.

80 minutes in and I was checking the time for the next 65 home, was 9 minutes away so said I'd give it another 5 then leave, 4 minutes later Josh scores and saves me from missing a all time great comeback!

I think the only time I've left early was when we got hammered at home by Huddersfield, some years ago. .
The only time I left early was in the 1950/early 60's.

We were away to Newport County, neither side had a point to date and we went 1-0 ahead thanks to a Brian Edgley goal.

However, when the score reached 6-1 to County I walked out, along with others. Their reserve left winger, Granville Hare and, I believe, Cliff Holton both scored hat-tricks.

You youngsters don't know you are born.......!

Why do some people bother going at all. Miseries . I had to make a quick exit for work, but after a comeback like that I stayed, the team deserved clapping off. Should have been elation all round. They're moments we go to football for

I think I've only left one match early and that was the FA Cup humbling by Kingstonians. Shame, as me and my dad walked over the bridge Lorenzo Pinamonte scored a rare goal.

I left but... I had planned to - had be in King's Cross to meet the missus for an early birthday dinner. Left leaving as late as possible which was one minute before our first goal - I heard the roar as I walked past New Inn. And, guess what, got off tube at King's Cross only to pick up a text message saying she was running 15 minutes late.
(Excuses made, I must admit I considered leaving earlier than that because I couldn't see us scoring and, generally, my worries were underlined by much of the game - very skilful, very pretty, very close but no cigar.)

Done the same thing and left at 0-2 yesterday! I’ll never learn....or maybe I should leave early every game!

The only times I have left a game early were at the hands of the “authorities”.
I am far too tight to waste any money by not seeing the whole game.

Had she thrown it down in disgust and did you enjoy it? Also did you leave before we scored the first? ;)
Big lass, who devoured her pie and looked to savour it.
I stayed till the end, went apeshit when the 3rd went in and got home after a long drive at 8.30pm.
Not entirely sure why your asking ?!
