What happens when Uwe Rosler gets to the bottom of his list of players from Brentford or those recommended by Mark Warbuton?? He doesn't seem to cast his net too wide??

So is Saville not going their now it's gone all quiet on that front. Not surprised by this.
If Forshaw goes to Wigan then Saville may well come to us. IF he goes, it will be on our terms, so that would involve a fee of several millions I would think/hope.

What was the gaffe in the programme? I noticed in the Barnet programme George Saville was listed as a Brentford player!

Having seen Pritchard and Tebar on Saturday I would not be so worried about losing AF as once were. Like to keep him though, we would have a real potent midfield.

A bid doesn't mean it will be accepted...

Maybe Rosler couldn't get other targets so is now trying to get Forshaw. We shall see...

We can't let him go. I forecast on another thread we would finish mid-table this season, if he goes I'll amend that to just above relegation!

Blimey Stanley. Think your views on AF may be in the minority!! Suggest most would be desperate for him to stay.

...............fortunately we are not a one man team...............we are more than capable of a mid table finish without him.........

Depends if he has a release clause if its for 3 million ( guess)and Wigan match it and he agrees to their wage offer then he's off.

I think our owner will resist very hard on this one. If Forshaw does end up leaving, it'll cost Wigan a fortune I reckon.

From his last interview two weeks ago:

Adam said once he was back to full training he would be “as happy as you can be”.

“The only thing making me unhappy is that I am not training,” said the midfield player.

“Being a Brentford player is ten out of ten otherwise.

“As soon as I get myself out there I will be as happy as you can be.

“I can’t wait for the season to start, playing at some of those grounds and bringing those teams to Griffin Park, trying to make it a fortress again.

“It was a great accolade to win promotion but we haven’t spoken about it.

“We have to remember what made us good last year but this is a new challenge, playing in a different league.

“We want to get a good start and build from there.”

Adam added he was looking forward to playing for Brentford in a West London derby.

“I want to play at Fulham,” he said.

“I know how much it means to the fans and everyone involved at the Club.

“They are a big club and it will be a good game.

“I am looking forward to the home games; we want to make it a fortress.”

Rosler will of course know this. Hardly a ringing endorsement knowing how much he would cost but leaving it until late July to make his move. Sounds like he's had a few knock backs.

We won't to sell to him and he's happy here, don't think he will leave to go to Wigan.

EDIT - Just seen the news above, well done Bees, go F**k yourself Mr Rosler.

Even if a bid meets a release clause, which is entirely possible (though as mentioned above, I'd expect a release clause for a player of his ability to be in the multiple millions), I would imagine we would offer him a new contract with improved wages / try to match what Wigan would offer him.
If offered equal wages, I can't see him choosing Wigan over Brentford. But then again I would have said that about Donaldson/Birmingham.

I would love him to stay and really like watching him play but if he went I genuinely think we would push on without him now, wouldn't have said that last season. It is a measure of where we are now and the quality of players in the club and those we can attract to the club.

Too often in the past we have lost key players and it has fallen down about us, not so New Brentford. It may only be one game and he is not ours but Pritchard looks a massive signing and plays where AF does it seems to me.

Forshaw can do much better than Wigan, If we let Adam go(I hope we don't) Then let it be to a big premiership side.

Can't see this one happening. When I heard that Wigan wanted Rosler, I thought he'd go. Not Forshaw though.

He will leave us for a Premier League club when he moves on.

Wigan are really struggling for players. Saw the other day that they had to cancel a friendly because they didn't have enough fit players. If I was Adam I would stay at Brentford. Think we will be in the Premier League before Wigan.

Jacob Murtagh has just confirmed Forshaw doesn't have a release clause. Good news.

I would hate for Adam to go anywhere as he is I believe only going to increase in value both to the team and to our Balance Sheet when he eventually does go to a Premiership team, which is inevitable in the long run.
The thought of him joining Wigan to play for that two faced, disloyal, **** however makes me almost feel physically sick. Thankfully we now have an owner who is more concerned with the well being of the club than in feathering his nest so well done MB for the almost certainly polite rejection. No need for us fans to adopt this approach however so GO **** YOURSELF ROSLER!

Ok if you say so. I just think there is so much more to Forshaw, 22 years old, is only going to get better, and is already a championship player. If Wigan did buy him, it would not be for the bench. and if he helped get them promoted, do you think Rosler would say " now we are in the premiership Adam will have to be on the bench" ?

Adam would only leave for Liverpool, so he'll stay for a while ;)

Of course he would be first choice if he went there, but it's possible/likely he is being considered for first choice because they couldn't get their other targets.

The no release clause is the best bit of news, and the bit of news that can get us to relax a little.
