Playing like that so early in their first season is incredible. They are learning fast. Good thing Traore can't cross.
He wouldn't be playing for Wolves if he had a consistent end product. He probably got himself in about 10 really good positions in that match and managed maybe 2 decent crosses. Still a useful asset but doubt he'll ever play at a higher level

He actually did get three or four decent ones in but their forwards were not sharp enough to take the chances when they did arrive - or our defending was heroic!

Three players went for the some area several times, the ball was delightful to the six yard box three times and nobody there.

The centre forward with the head protector looks a shadow of the player he was pre that awful injury, it’s a shame for him but I wonder if he will ever be the same.

Genuinely, I think this was our best game of the season.

At even numbers we grew into the game quickly. We scored a deserved goal from a tackle on a corner, then almost scored another right after and then *did* score another after that. Some of the areas that had looked concerning in our set-up: link-up between Bryan and Ivan, missed marking assignments in the center of the pitch, being actually, you know, clinical in front of goal...all much improved.

And then came the red card. And I think we saw another facet of our game, fortitude (and some experienced dark arts!) that is going to be absolutely essential to stay on this tier of English football. And 3 away points before a tough stretch is much needed.

MOTM: Between Ivan and Ajer, with Norgaard a great shout, as he truly read every single cut-back across the box. I'd probably still give it to Toney, as I think he's gone up a level in the areas of his game that we greatly needed. Also, is there a cooler penalty-taker alive?

According to the commentary we are only the second team in history to get past five Premier League games having conceded only two goals. The other being Everton at some point apparently. Although Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City have all conceded just one in four games so I expect one or more - possibly all of them might be joining our club soon.

Only caught the second half but what a great defence we have. And a huge uptick this season in our sh*thousery skills which might get slated by others, but most that slate us will do so from glasshouses. Top, top team. Up the Bees. :sorted:

Completely agree - much more composed in midfield and generally braver with our passing. I hoped with more game time this would happen and it seems it is. Norgaard was back to his very, very best today!

A game that displayed all the different facets of our quality... strong counter attack in the first half... and resilient defence and character in the second half.. even a little gamesmanship to slow down the game. Wolves threw on every striker but had no plan with Traore smashing balls well over the top.. Every Bees player was fantastic.. with Toney deserving Motm...

Great win my Bees. Even better considering we played with 10 men for 30 plus minutes and we've beaten Wolves - never liked them 👍

Shandons second tackle was daft but the first yellow wasnt even a foul, thought they were going to let these kind of strong but fair challenges go this season. Wolves were very dislikable, i could tell we were going to get a pen long before it got swung in, that little defender was a cock, as was half their team. I spat my drink out when jiminez tried his rabona and ended up on his arse. Well played bees, big win

We did some of this but I think it is being a bit exaggerated. We slowed the game down, or course, that is what any team would do in the circumstances but there were only two or three times I thought where players went down for no reason.

The Wolves' fans were going mad over everything but you would expect that given their frustration levels.

He's been out for ages, made a silly mistake. He'll sit through 90 minutes of us playing Liverpool next week regretting it. He'll come back a better player for it so we dont need to hang him out on this one imho.
Doesn't the Carabao Cup game count as the suspension?

What a fantastic result, We have assembled a very good of players prepared to work hard for each other, well done lads, What on earth are the Twiterati and Faceache crowd going to do tonight as they have nothing to say, I suppose they will have resort back to playing with them selfs as there is nothing to say.

We've made our mark now on the PL when we get comments like that. The defence is magnificent, but T and M look dangerous every time in attack. Norgaard supreme. The only player that didn't have too much to do was Raya but played a great 11th outfield role and 10th in the second half. What a game, what spirit we have; roll on the next three games. 11 points from 11 games looking feasible and maybe more. What a great start to our campaign that would be.

Make no mistake, that really was a landmark win. First three points on the road, unbeaten away and also no goals conceded! Would love to see the last promoted side that did that.

We’ve acquired the dark arts at just the right time - haters gonna hate but we’re the ones with the win. Everyone played their part. As soon as the first went in we looked comfortable in our roles and dug out the required work rate when needed in the second half.

Ivan Toney was superb and we will be fending off clubs in January.

Enjoy every moment right now, we deserve it.

After watching him again, I’d love to see Traore in a Bees shirt. A month with our coaching staff and playing attacking midfielder would see him right on it.

From The Molineux Mix.

Jeff Shi has ****ed it.

Bruno hasn't been backed.
Still the same **** poor back line.

Penalty and ensuing madness aside, Brentford didn't do anything all game.

We just don't have the players to cope with these sort of physical matches, and that's been the same story for the past 4 years.

Sort the ****ing recruitment out.

Did nothing - but won. What more could we do?

Head over to The Wolves Forum to see a full on meltdown!
So far all the Premier league teams played so far, their fans have a bit of a melt down. It must be something in the air !!! Surely this can't be crappy Brentford.
A bit of a eye opener for them. The second half of the season will be interesting after playing all the teams once.

Maybe they will take the team seriously after the Liverpool fans meltdown next week.

Agree with everything - but a coupe of extra little points.
1: in the first half we had our old attacking Bees back -
2: while Ivan and Christian got the top credits, Nathan Pinnok had yet another superb game. By my reckoning he's made just one mistake since promotion.
3: yes, we played 10 against 11 for most of the second half, but don't forget we were down to 9 at one point for, what, five minutes. And we were still too good.
4: and for all their fans talk of our sh*thous-ry, they're quiet about their 'keeper having his name taken for trying to scuff the penalty spot before IT's
nonchalant kick beat him. Among other things
*finally - what an incompetent clown of a referee.

Great bit of sh*thousery from us. We’ve come a long way. I know it’s a different set of players but still. Got to manage the game and situation. Down to 9, away from home.
