Wolves for me, lets get 2nd place confirmed asap and then turn the heat up on Wolves. If we have a chance for the title on the last day of the season that will do me.

Wolves for me, not worried about the title at all, let them have it, 2nd place sits more than OK with me.

Wolves. 100%. I couldn't give a single flying feck about being 5mm higher on the final table as long as we're entertaining Fulham and our hoopy friends next season. Any result that adds a little bit of security to that second spot is the only thing that matters :sorted:.

Wolves. IMHO, although we've five games to go, they're almost all potential hurdles. Not in order...

Seventh away. Potential 0 points.
Eighth away. Potential 0 points.
Fifth at home (who've lost fewer games than anyone except Wolves). Potential 0 points.
16th (I think) away - potential 3 points
24th home (still potentially fighting for their lives and who#ve already beaten us) potential???

The eggs are in the incubator, but the beaks haven't started pecking yet.

...err the title is only 3 points away - I want Brentford to win the title - We deserve it and are good enough - Who aims for 2nd place ?

Draw for me. Because Wolves have a better goal difference it makes little odds if they are defeated or draw - we still need two slip ups either way. The draw would put Rotherham out of it too.

Rotherham to lose on Friday but to beat wolves pleases. No reason for settling for 2nd at this stage. Dream big.

Wolves all day long.
We need to get out of this league, winning it would just be an unexpected bonus.

If God (or Holdsworth - depending on your religion) said to you "Smiffy, if you want, you can pack your burgers up and we'll finish the season now. You've finished 2nd. Good effort my son. Bring on the Rangers". Would you take it? Or play on? :suspect:

Absolutely.

If Rotherham lose on Friday and we beat Swindon on Saturday we would be 12 points clear with 4 to go. At that stage I could stomach a rotherham win versus wolves on the condition we have beaten Preston to maintain the 12 point gap. Other than that I hope Rotherham lose every game at least 5.0, no offense intended, I just want us to go up.

I'll be supporting Rotherham, and Leyton Orient in both their games vs Wolves. In fact, I'll be supporting every team Wolves plays against in the next 5 games.

We need 7 points to mathematically confirm automatic, from five games. We WILL get those seven points, so let's look at the top, not over our shoulder.

Stick or twist? Twist please :)

Play On - We signed up for a full season and the title is in our grasp

2nd place is pretty much nailed on, unless we suddenly start losing games...are we going to crumble ?

No. We have a keeper and defence bang on form - 7 clean sheets in the last 10 games

We will secure 2nd place and need Wolves to slip up twice or thrice to ensure we win the title.

A draw. Keeps Roverum away but opens up a chance to catch Wolves when Borient beat them.

Can't help thinking this is burger sales related :D. Each to their own, but after 125 years of hurt all I want is guaranteed promotion at the earliest date. :sorted:

please stop, this is taking "it's Brentford innit" to a ridiculous extreme.

yes they are difficult games but we beat all three of these teams within the space of 8 days over Xmas, scoring three goals on each occasion...

I can't imagine Wolves thinking of games against Rotherham and plucky little Orient as "potential 0 points".

Can't really give an answer until the weekend has passed. If we lose, then Wolves, if we win against Swindon, then Rotherham (actually a draw as then we would be up against Preston if we won).

If we both draw, then either is fine.

At this stage, either Wolves or a draw - if we beat Swindon and Rotherham fail to beat Bradford, then a Rotherham win would be good, but the priority now is securing promotion, with the title only coming up when that is sorted. A few red cards would be helpful too - mass brawl with 3 from each team seeing red?

I'm merely pointing out that we can't guarantee maximum points in any of those specific games - I do however think that we can pick up points from these.

Years of supporting Brentford and very sensibly refusing to start singing or celebrating just yet. :sorted:
