Yup. It's a b****y nightmare. A policy deliberately designed to make it so difficult for refugees to come here that most give up. I have been through the hoops. It can be done as Banana says however, and as I now consider myself an expert in the field I will be delighted to help PG with the formalities for an inordinately large consultancy fee! (Which I would donate to the disasters emergency committee...)
Who do you work for then, the ECof HR?

Sometimes players aren't good enough yet but we believe they will be. 18 is very young for PL football. Just on a physical level not many will be ready at that age.
Last week a lad joined in my son’s 5 a side team as they were short of an over 18 and he had come along to watch some of his mates. He was very good. Turns out he’s at Liverpool and scored over 40 goals in their academy U18 team. But he’s 5’5” and smaller than my son and his mates (who are all 15) so while he’s got a clear pathway he is probably not going to progress to first team action unless he has a growth spurt.

This lad: lfc_fixture_academy_player_profile

He also has the distinction of being the ball boy who helped TAA to take that trickily quick CL corner.

Once again, an astute bit of business. I like the pattern of sticking to the same principles but just progressing and improving. Seems similar to the MPH signing but more ambitious

if he is as as good as his bio / write-up he would be a £50m player 😉

But an exciting prospect!!!

Just chatting to one of my Ukrainian colleagues and he had heard we were in for this lad but the fee being mentioned over there was closer to £500k. Don't know his sources but just thought I'd share this info.

That's the idea, give the young lad a warm welcome.
personally I find the B team signings as exciting as the 1st team's. Normally have seen heard very little of them nor seen much. Interesting to see how they develop even if they turn out to be not good enough for the 1st team. And then keep an eye on them with their new clubs.
This lad could be a cut above others though.

pardon me for not finding this exciting
B Team signings are never going to be exciting as they are long term.

But you only have to look at the fact that Sorenson, Janelt (i think), Roerslev, Forss, Young-Combes, Bidstrup and Stevens all played in the Premiership last year and were b team signings to see its success.

That ignores players who were successful for us in the Championship and or have been sold on at a profit etc.

Show reel not very showy.
I think it shows that he is athletic, technically pretty good, willing to play with some physicality....

It doesn't show 30-yard piledrivers like Ghoddos' showreel but I thought he looked really promising

Interesting fact about his home town.....

Birthplace of Volodymyr Shcherbytsky, one time senior Politburo member under Breshnev's watch and was rumoured to be the personal choice of Lenny B to succeed him as General Secretary of the Communist Party when his personal health was deteriorating in '82 (ultimately replaced by Andropov)

He also hand delivered the letter that Elaine wrote to Len that was the eponymous title to that 1985 film.

You might want to check the definition of “interesting”…
