Last meeting done, hair done (have gone for blade grade - grass doesn't grow on a busy street), shall begin lubricating the voice box shortly.

Why all the positivity towards Utd on here? I never liked them, or their travelling supporters in the late 60s/early 70s and thought they deserved relegation. In the Ferguson years they, and their followers, came over as a charmless bunch reeking of self-entitlement. They got the benefit of every decision, how many years was it without a penalty against them at Old Trafford? I have some sympathy for their supporters nowadays under the present owners but successive managers have still been able to spaff away vast amounts on average players.

Give it five minutes and we’ll be getting asked to applaud one of their players, and/or stand silently in appreciation as their fans sing a song, and then applaud them. It’s the GPG, innit.

You're getting confused with twitter and facebook. And, remember, you *are* the GPG.

I thought I was just part of the GPG illuminati. Have I been promoted again, and if so how much do I get please?

This thread is all I needed to read this morning. 😪

All I’ve ever dreamed of. Have to watch it on a tablet sat in the spare room.
Geeza, I don’t know you, but I’d rather give you my ticket and watch on TV then let proper brentford miss one of the biggest games in our history because they couldn’t get a ticket.

Says you’ve been on here since 2005, I was born in late 2004 for reference. That’s not fair. Is it possible to get down here in time for the match? If so, PM me let me do you a favour. If I stay healty, I’ll probably be able to watch us for anther 60 years at least, we’ll play United again im sure, not everyone’s afforded the time.

Money can buy the likes of Chelsea and Man City a seat at the top table but it can never buy what Manchester United and Liverpool have. They are the two genuine football institutions in this country. Liverpool at home was special but tonight is a level up again. Manchester United have the name, tradition and support but we're not playing the name, the team we're playing are beatable if we get a bit of luck.

The occasion is almost bigger than the game especially for all those who kept the club going during some difficult days, thoughts to those people sadly no longer with us.

Ah @WestStandBee thats such a lovely gesture but don’t worry, I’m isolating at home due to covid. You get yourself down there, support the lads through thick and thin tonight and sing you lungs out.

IMO length of supporting time doesn’t guarantee anyone a ticket. You are there on merit. But what a positive thing to read on here especially after a lot of negative crap has been posted recently.

Enjoy the game and hopefully we get the right result.

Keep hearing a lot about “new Brentford” well if you class yourself as new brentford being 16 years old you are a credit to our younger fan base.

Top man.

In the same boat in that i am away. Brentford shirt ready to be donned though when i head for sports bar later no doubt to be only Bee amongst the mancs.

Quick question, where in Egypt and what is weather like there. Toyed with Egypt for holiday but wasnt sure it would be hot enough at this time of year

A late change in caring commitments following an emergency visit to Mrs Untouchables cardiologist means I can no longer make it to BCS this evening.

I’m f***ing gutted. My tickets have gone to genuine Bees so at least they’re being used.

Hope everyone on and off the pitch does us proud.

I’ll be belting out Hey Jude pre match and clapping for Pete Hayward in the 67th minute.

Good luck finding anywhere showing Brentford on TV in a sports bar tonight - Egypt are playing Sudan in AFCON at 1900hrs 😐

What an amazing thread! The significance of tonight's game to all you long-time and lifetime Brentford supporters is a revelation to me. I knew that Man U at home in the Premiership would be a milestone event for the club and supporters, but reading just what it means to you all after all the years and all the games is fascinating and heartwarming. Thanks for all the great posts. You Bees!!

Sorry to hear that man, gutted for you. I did my pre match test this morning and was sh*tting myself at the thought of a positive.

And no problem mate just trying to pay the good faith I’ve received over the years of supporting this club, we’re all in this together, get well soon, I’ll be singing twice as loud for you and for everyone who couldn’t make it, or are no longer with us, only right 👍🏾

This is one of those games where sadly the majority of the home supporters will probably have travelled a longer distance to get to tonight's game than that lot in the away end.

One thing I will say regardless of their glory fans. Utd’s away following is very good and will be full of their proper fans.

I remember see George at GP playing San Jose - he was over weight but could still do magic with ball playing defence piercing passes from the centre circle. The problem was the rest of their team was clueless and after about 20 minutes he was throwing his arms out and turning to the Bees fans in frustration. In my humble opinion he was the greatest player ever

I remember Stan Bowles (not over weight) when he was with the Bees doing much the same until he got used to our level. Although with Hurlock and Kamara they really got a great midfield going.

I was fortunate enough to see Man U play at the river rats in the early sixties when Best, Law and Charlton played. Just had to stand a while in a queue and pay a few pence.
