If he joins them I will never show him any respect. Shagging your best mates ex would get more likes than this!

QPR fans seem to think it's a MW/JB reunion signing, romantic but lacking any factual reasoning.

It was always going to be a QPR/Reading that he was joining, possibly for a bit extra cash and more guaranteed playing time. I don't know how much they'll be offering but it may keep his lifestyle pretty similar.

That said it will lose a lot of the goodwill people have for him, and he built up a fair amount.

Disapointed, Warburton and Barbet to boo now. Could have joined anybody else other than Rangers. I just hope we start signing some new faces soon.

Worth noting that Barbet actually follows that Nando Chachalana account too, which probably increases its legitimacy at least somewhat.

Really weird one if true. He was always a top professional here and gave his all, never complained when being shunted out to LB etc, but if he goes to QPR that suggests he may not actually have much affection for us, like we'd probably want to believe.

Maybe he's just desperate to stay in London and so QPR are the only other option that'd fulfil that along with a pay rise - Fulham don't need him and Charlton and Millwall probably can't offer him much more than we can. He was always posting pictures from various locations in Central London on Instagram, so it appears as though he is happy here in general.

Cant imagine they would be offering much more than we would have been? Did he not see what happened to bidwell!

He’ll probably be getting more starts with QPR. Next season he’d only be a bench warmer with us.

This is like Bidwell signing for them, some fans were up in arms but most knew we needed better. Although Barbet was wholehearted his lack of pace was always a worry, not very tall for a CB either.

sounds a weird one? Can't see them being able to offer an awful lot more in terms of wages at the moment. They've got some 32 year old in from Rangers at full back so imagine he'd be on decent money. Warburton clearly spreading his net far and wide!!!

Don't think it was lack of pace that was the issue with him as a centre-back personally.
I think it was more physically/aerially, or positionally, that was his issue, or issues. Still might turn out to be good in there, given a run of games, but his lack of game time in that position just reflected that we weren't quite sure about him in that position.

A good pro, probably at his peak. We wasn’t prepared to give him what he wanted. He will probably be their player of the season, but it won’t be enough.

Same as Bidwell, wouldn't have to move, friends / family still local... players don't care about loyalty or playing for a club rival. it's a job and money to them

I called this weeks ago. If he wanted to stay at this level in England and also local then QPR or Reading were the obvious options. Charlton too now they are promoted.

midfielder for decent money from Fiorentina was a pretty good start, no?

i thought he was pretty quick! just not solid enough defensively.

Good luck to him. He has to earn a wage somewhere I suppose and his agent must have loved working with Mark Warburton on this deal.

He gave us 4 good seasons and why shouldn’t he go where he gets the best deal and prospects ?

QPR is about his level as a centre half. Good luck to him and we will tear him a new one when he comes up against us.

Don't get all the fuss, nice guy but never a great player. Yes we offered him a new deal but clearly we couldn't offer him regular football and no doubt we will find better.

I just love how excited QPR fans are about signing our cast offs, how times have changed.

A very good servant to the club, never rocked the boat and gave his all whenever he played.

If we have aspirations of success then Yohan was not the answer but for a club that is going to be at the bottom end of the table it’s a good move.

As to wages, despite everything Rangers still have some delusions of grandeur and I would expect he will earn comfortably more than he did with us. They really need to review their business model as things are likely to get worse for them ( hopefully!!!!😀😀😀)

Decent signing for them. Useful player, just makes me laugh at all those that fawned over him with his clapping and thumbs up.

He needs to earn a living and I doubt he’ll earn too much more if at all either as QPR cutting cloth accordingly from their recent signings.

Not bothered at all where he goes.for me he just isnt a very good defender....theres something wrong defensively if you have to make as many last ditch tackles as he does.

Yes

Shame as I liked his attitude and how he was often first to applaud us at the end of away games regardless of result and whether he made it onto the pitch. But he’s not so good a player that I worry about us facing him and can’t begrudge him getting a contract where he’s more likely to play and perhaps earn a bit more. As long as he doesn’t do a Rowlands.
