They have gone into liquidation and are hoping to reform at a lower level. It looks like that might be the Southern League Midlands Division apparently. I would think there will be something here www.nonleaguedaily.com/index.php. If you scroll down quite a way something should be on there.:sorted:

Was reading about this yesterday:

Quite a bit of re-shuffling happening in the Non League pyramid:

This sort of thing always happens after every season in non-league football. Even though your team wins the league or earns promotion on the field, it doesn't always follow that you will go up. This also applies to relegated teams. It can be quite a few weeks after the season ends before you know what league you're actually in for next season.

A lot of non league team seem to "live the dream" these days putting financial sense after glory and paying league wages for sub conference standards, of course when it all goes wrong they just seem to go out of business now.

You are spot on with that. We (Mossley) had a rich family backing us until last season, when due to ill health and one or two other things they pulled out. It is never a good idea in non league especially, to have just one benefactor. If they decide to pull out for whatever reason the club really is in big trouble.

It's not the club, but an inidvidual who pretends to put money in. usually double glazing owner, Car Dealer or a multitude of small time property developers, trying to impress their mates.

Even if they do really put money in, it's still high risk - Gretna being a recent example where a rich benefactor took them up the pyramid, then his health concerns put an end to the money and they were a 3rd division team in their Prem Lge

Nuneaton Boro moved in to a new stadium this season after selling their Manor Park home of many, many years.

Went to their last but one home game at the old ground, so much excitement for the future then and great pie, chips and mushy peas but now .......

Their "fans" weren't the friendliest to say the very, very least :box:

btw, check out post # 20 on http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors/2006/12/do_you_care_where_your_team_pl.html  :bethewisheshehadn'tpostedthatsmilie:

Thank God that has never happened to us.......perish the thought that anyone would pretend to be putting his own money in whilst racking up a debt that others have to repay. :(
