abee deserves nothing but credit for his long and succesful engagement with the club both when pissing in the tent from outside against the Noades reign and explaining to "the great unwashed" (as he liked to put it) the finer points of the grand plan. But to suggest that he got "flack" is simply ludicrous. So, yes, if you could find some examples of the GPG ganging-up on this resilitant and wise businessman then I'd like to see it. Anything that compares with (say) Rupert Murdoch will get double points.

I have obviously used the wrong terminolgy and maybe I read responses to him the wrong way. So as I said on post 46 think I'll step back on this. If I have have upset anyone, my sincere apologies. Bullshit isn't my style Banana.

Actually Banana I haven't withdrawn I said I have stepped back ( call it what you will ) as I cannot bring up the posts to abee, only his answers. So I see no point in trying to conduct a debate when I can only see one side, and can't produce anything that was posted to him, only going on memory and as I have posted, maybe I read them wrong. Anyway life's too short, night :wave:

Abee was very informative on what was going on at the club. As he is no longer on the board perhaps he doesn't feel the need to defend his corner. As a supporter he probably chooses not to air his views on this website which he is entitled to.

Luckily I don't have to go to work ( early retirement :) ) Golf is my work now. If you want me to troll through all his replies when he was obviously upset I can, but they may not be relevant to this discussion. Have obviously opened up a wound, and didn't mean to. And again as I posted earlier maybe end of last year because of the issues he had at home may have influenced his responses.

I have searched abees old posts for the words 'onions' 'dugouts' 'tickets' 'customer' and 'nocoat' and while I have found some strongly worded opinions I can't see any personal attacks on the poster abee. I can't see deleted posts except in the most important forum of all forums. What I can see is in line with my memory of a man increasingly rattled by criticism which he thought was undeserved and it's clear he took the opinions personally on occasions. I can't be bothered to dredge it up as it's all easily available :sorted:

Then that would make banana and I liars. abee may cut and paste anything he deems offensive for use at a later date. Maybe it is experience he gained as a highly successful businessman for many years that taught him such neat tricks. Fact is I have never been offensive to abee. As a mod never let anything through that was. We don't get on that is fine. abee falsely accuses me as one of the reasons he left the gpg which is less fine.

this is the kind of thread that puts people off the GPG. a lot of immaturity on here.

can we get back to the original point - someone wanted to know if abee was still around, as he missed abee's great contributions to the GPG (as do many of us). i sincerely hope abee is enjoying a bit more free time without all of us :)

as King Bee has pointed out though, there are still many others available who can be informative around BFC - good work KB :sorted:

Yes of course it does. The reason posts are deleted can be from a multitude of reasons, racist, homophobic, aggressive, trolling, duplicates etc. if everyone could see them then that would defeat the whole purpose of deleting them.

abee has come out and said I have been offensive. abee has not come out and said that the offensive posts have since been removed - if he does then that is a different kettle of fish.

Say a lot of things about :banana: and most people do but in all my dealings he runs this board very honestly, and demands that from others, so when he cottens on to potential mistruths or inaccuracies he is like a dog with a bone to uncover the truth for all. e.g wisbeegate.
