Just seen an item on Breakfast TV about the Panini WC sticker book launched last night. They showed a sticker of Jordan Henderson Brentford FC. Who would ever have thought…….
A complete sticker book would cost £1300
Off topic, but this contains the details of all the stickers:Only concentrated their attention on England. If only ROI and Denmark had qualified. I assume Ajer will be in for Norway.
Maybe if you don't do any swapping. It's £1.25 for a pack of 5, 980 stickers so £245 without duplicates. Online swapping makes that part a lot easier, and you can usually buy the last few directly from panini so probably near £300.Just seen an item on Breakfast TV about the Panini WC sticker book launched last night. Does anyone actually know what the injury was/is?
Who does he start instead of is the question although he won’t be fazed by the environment .Feel like the huge must win occasion on Sunday would be a perfect game for Hendo to start.
Not fazed by big atmospheres and good to be in the ear of any official looking at giving decisions the home sides way.
I’d start him ahead of Damsgaard. He had a poor game last time out, and a Yarmo/Henderson/Jensen midfield three would give us early stability and robustness. Matti can ping balls long for the front three to get behind Liverpool’s aging and slow back 4.Who does he start instead of is the question although he won’t be fazed by the environment .
My preference would be Jensen. Damsgaard can be very disruptive, buzzing around, while Henderson has the long passes.I’d start him ahead of Damsgaard. Literally done it there in spades too.Hendo must start, we need the maturity and leadership from someone who has been there done it, in a game like Sundays.
It’s a tough call. I just think Dams will give us more impact as a sub later on than Jensen. My preference would be Jensen. Damsgaard can be very disruptive, buzzing around, while Henderson has the long passes.
He can play both. Midfield 3 of Yarmoulik, Henderson & Jensen with a front 3 of Dango, Thiago and DamsgaardIt’s a tough call. I just think Dams will give us more impact as a sub later on than Jensen.
TBH we’re lucky to have two such good players!
As long as it’s not 4-2-2-2!He can play both. Midfield 3 of Yarmoulik, Henderson & Jensen with a front 3 of Dango, Thiago and Damsgaard
He can, but I think this is a game for Schade and Dango to use their pace. Liverpool are vulnerable if you get behind themHe can play both. Midfield 3 of Yarmoulik, Henderson & Jensen with a front 3 of Dango, Thiago and Damsgaard
No no and a million times noHe can play both. Midfield 3 of Yarmoulik, Henderson & Jensen with a front 3 of Dango, Thiago and Damsgaard
Possibly Vitaly, as he looked a bit off the pace on Sunday sadly after his return from injury.Who does he start instead of is the question although he won’t be fazed by the environment .
More than he cost us! ( Well not with signing fees / agency etc!)Just seen an item on Breakfast TV about the Panini WC sticker book launched last night. They showed a sticker of Jordan Henderson Brentford FC. Who would ever have thought…….

So, that’s a negative then?No no and a million times no
Brentford squad player .....Brentford player as an England captain at a major tournament? Brilliant!
Henderson is going for a reason and I would assume that would be his leadership qualities, whereas Wharton is young and his time will come in the England set upMy head says Adam Wharton, my hearts says superb and well done Jordan!
Henderson gives more to the squad than minutes on the pitch which may be quite minimal in this tournament.Henderson is going for a reason and I would assume that would be his leadership qualities, whereas Wharton is young and his time will come in the England set up
Agree with thisHenderson gives more to the squad than minutes on the pitch which may be quite minimal in this tournament.
His (and Ajer’s) value to Brentford’s squad is also more valuable than minutes on the pitch – with a young squad that, in the most cases, is added to by even younger players, there’s an incalculable benefit to having those players in the dressing room.
England player in the squad. And….
3 ex Brentford players in the squad. Wowza.
We’ve now had more than 120 players that have played international football while at the club. A lot gained in the past 10 years. What a time to be a Brentford fan. I remember Gary Roberts getting called up to the Welsh U21 squad back in the day, and that as a huge thing!
Now we've got current and ex players representing various countries in the World Cup! Long may it continue!!
Nicky Forster being selected for the Toulon Under 21 tournament was massive. What a time to be a Brentford fan. I remember Gary Roberts getting called up to the Welsh U21 squad back in the day, and that as a huge thing!

Not forgetting Ronaldo Messi & DjekoHe’s going to be in good company, as it’s shaping up as a veterans tournament! In addition to the usual suspects, we have 43yo Craig Gordon for Scotland. Then there’s 40 yo Manuel Neuer having another crack at it for Germany, and lastly, soon to be 41 yo Luka Modric back for Croatia…
I agree with this, I don't think it's any coincidence that Vitaly and Mathias have reached new heights since he arrived. On the training ground, in the dressing room and on the pitch Henderson has been a fantastic signing and one can certainly understand why Tuchel wants him around the squad.Henderson gives more to the squad than minutes on the pitch which may be quite minimal in this tournament.

You won't be able to move with all those Zimmer frames. He’s going to be in good company, as it’s shaping up as a veterans tournament! John Buttigieg for Malta was the high water mark thoughNicky Forster being selected for the Toulon Under 21 tournament was massive.
It was his first squad Charlton didn't play, not his fourth.4th World Cup squad for Jordan is incredible. Only matched by Bobby Charlton. If he gets any minutes, then he will surpass Charlton - as in his fourth squad Charlton didn’t play.

Yes 1958. Walter Winterbottom’s son’s first question to his dad when he got home after the tournament was “why didn’t you play Bobby Charlton?”It was his first squad Charlton didn't play, not his fourth.
Only Bees fans could pronounce his name.John Buttigieg for Malta was the high water mark though
Didn’t Brian? Turner get a game (Ooerr!), for New Zealand in a World Cup?John Buttigieg for Malta was the high water mark though
IIRC Brian Turner was a NZ international but I don’t think he played in a World Cup. I think he played for us 1970-71 when I moved back to Kew.Didn’t Brian? Turner get a game (Ooerr!), for New Zealand in a World Cup?
