He’s literally a 1 in 3 man! (101 goals in 306 professional apps.)He’d need to be very cheap and come with his padded pants to prevent splinters!
I dunno, maybe we could do a player plus cash deal, involving Thiago?£35m
I reckon poor Mike has taken too much sun to his head.
Yep, and goals from midfield is something we’ve lacked for a whileCould also play as an attacking midfielder
You’re not getting a Premier League ready goalscoring midfielder for that sort of money. If he's relatively cheap then I can see it as he fits our style of play and offers depth. Nothing over £12-13m though for a guy his age.
I reckon £18-£20mYou’re not getting a Premier League ready goalscoring midfielder for that sort of money.
I don’t think he’d necessarily play most games as a striker but the fact he can fulfil two roles is obviously attractive to us.A good player, but
We don't really sign players at their peak age as cover, especially strikers. And we have a number of options in attacking midfield already.
Limited re-sale potential though possible he could do a Wissa - in a good way - and be worth a fortune at 29.
Another PL team might be able to offer him a clearer regular first team position.
I'd be pleased if we did sign him but not sure exactly what the plan would be.
I still don’t see it. We’ve got Schade and Ouattara who can both do time centrally, so I’d hope we’re more looking at wide attackers with pace.I don’t think he’d necessarily play most games as a striker but the fact he can fulfil two roles is obviously attractive to us.
One place above him in the pecking order. Just wait until we play 3 x 10s at Graven Spottage and blow them away. Not the normal profile for a Brentford signing. Neither a youngster with huge development potential or an experienced older head, but I can see he could be a good pragmatic squad depth option. But as a 10 and/or second striker where does that leave Carvalho?
Could also play as an attacking midfielder
Burnley college at work said he started of as an attacking midfielder for them then they played him upfront as their forwards were so poor.
Actually, I make that a 1 in 3.03 manHe’s literally a 1 in 3 man! (101 goals in 306 professional apps.)
Until today, I’d always assumed he was Danish. Useful squad player, or do we think that even aged 27, he has more development in him?
Never seems to do much whenever I’ve seen Burnley on the box.

They were far from poor in the second half at Turf Moor.Hard in a team that poor
That’s assuming all of those you mention above are already available which they won’t be. He’d give us options which is something we lacked last season.Wouldn't be a bad signing and looked decent for Burnley - had a great performance against us... BUT. My concerns are that he would simply not get play time. As an attacking mid, he's behind Damsgaard, Jensen, and would probably play behind Carvalho as well. At striker, Thiago plays every minute but we also have a highly rated 20 year old who is likely ready for at least a substitute role for the team. Flemming would only really be useful if Thiago is injured or we play 2 striker formations much more often... but even then, he's competing with Schade and Ouattara as well.
£17m for 11 PL goals in a relegated team seems much more sensible then the £35m Burnley chappy was after earlier.Says Burnley value him at 17-20m

I'm not saying that they would all be available. I just mean to say that he will have a 3rd option role at best in any position he plays here. Maybe his asking price is a fair price for quality depth for us, though. He would have to be very comfortable with the role that we give him and not anticipating 90 minutes a game, or even 60 mins a game. That’s assuming all of those you mention above are already available which they won’t be. I would have thought its unlikely that an American website covering "the digital assets industry" and written by AI ("all content is reviewed by a member of our team before publication") has the inside track on this.Says Burnley value him at 17-20m

Particularly one that thinks the Burnley away game ended 3-3.I would have thought its unlikely that an American website covering "the digital assets industry" and written by AI ("all content is reviewed by a member of our team before publication") has the inside track on this.
Other than, scoring 1 goal every 3 games for a team that finished 19th. I think he’d add real depth and back up to Thiago. Who knows he might have a relegation clause in his contract and he’s available at a good price. Anyone know how many years he’s got left on his contract?Never seems to do much whenever I’ve seen Burnley on the box.
A mite taller than Mr. PritchardWhenever I watch Flemming I always think he's got a bit of (the young) Alex Pritchard about him, plays with attitude, in your face, can put the ball in the net etc, I think he would be an excellent addition to the squad
Have you seen the market? Seems the going rate.£35m
I reckon poor Mike has taken too much sun to his head.
We made them look like Brazil. They were crap and we weren’t far behind in the second half. Still haven’t got back to normal heart rate four months on.They were far from poor in the second half at Turf Moor.
Excellent post. It’s a position that is needed to bridge the gap between Igor being run into the ground and Furo being ready. Would be a useful pick up
