Can we match the atmosphere

of last season at home to Huddersfield?:D

Best day out at GP and Jackson's least favourite. Horrible team with nasty fans who need to know we are there.

Can we match the atmosphere

****ing hate huddersfield, I'm gonna be up for this one!!

Can we match the atmosphere

Still have a small dent in my shin from booting the seat in front when we threw away the game in the 93rd minute away last year.

Something about their fans which really grates on me. Possibility of a blo*dy drummer too isn't there.

I am looking forward to this game, always a great atmosphere mainly due to Hudders inability to stay on their feet for more than 5 seconds at a time.

Too sunny. Difficult to get angry in shorts.

Did anyone else see the Panorama programme two weeks ago where undercover reporters followed the reptile England supporters around Germany. A few idiots from the "Huddersfield Youth" were prominantly featured during the programme. Scenes were very disturbing but all too familiar.

They were young oiks and I would imagine an embarrassment.

Have to say have that Huddersfield fans over the years usually older, far bigger and a lot more menacing than 3 thick kids boasting about what they'd been up to a stranger!

Can I just say; I may be biased but I know the majority of Terriers fans are great people! 'That World Cup' programme was waaaaaay out of order and every real Huddersfield Town fan found it a total embarrassment.

I can see a lot of you think Saturdays game with Brentford has extra spice because you believe our manager is an arse, our players cheat and our fans are one sided but again, can I say, that's not that case. If you think holding that view will generate an 'atmosphere' at GP then great but please understand we're not really like that. Yes we (and our manager) are passionate but we are a great football club who respect other clubs. Please bare that in mind!

Take a beating Brentford and accept it in good grace pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Sadly and I know you are not one of them but most of us have taken or nearly taken an outnumbered beating at your place. I've read your posts and I know you are a true fan but we are guided by what we see and have felt in the past. Nothing personal but I wish nothing but ill on your side and I'm the one who had a good 3 years with a lovely lady from Marsden.:sorted:
The 3-2 and the reaction outside was rank last season. There were blokes, women and kids running the gauntlet with pathetic 40 and 50 year old somethings dancing:confused: and spitting at us. You'll always find people up for a fight at football matches but not frigging families with kids and women and I know you know that but a lot didn't last year again and probably this season again.
Anyway have a safe trip and enjoy your time but hopefully not the result, I'll be in the Princess Royal with my 12 year old lad who was abused at 11 at the Galpharm and alreay has a bitter taste for Huddersfield after his experience. He is born and bred in Northampton but he is a cockney c*nt according to some of the Yorkshire folk.

I remember you posting about that incident after last years game at 'The Pharm'. It is a total disgrace that families (and anyone else for that matter) can't attend football games without fear of being abused or physically assaulted. It's 2006 for Christs sake!

Unfortunatlely all clubs have 'an element' amongst their fans who are capable of such things but I'm still shocked to be reminded that fans of Huddersfield Town (the club I love) have behaved in that way. But, while I'm not attempting to make excuses, I can tell you that on countless occasions over the years, fans of other clubs (and local police forces) have congratulated our fans for their excellent behavour.

Given the above experience, I can perfectly understand your attitude and that of your son towards our football club. Individuals who behave like that are subhuman scum who should be rooted out and firmly dealt with by the courts. Sadly, it's a problem that blights our society in general.

Regards

Can I also add that given the incident you have reminded me of I regret some of the wording of my original post I can asure you it was not done to cause offence.

A close family friend used to go regularly to Huddersfield and had been for well over 25 years, however about 5 years ago he stopped going because he couldnt stomach anymore of his own fans. He received abuse from other HT fans, saw them giving it out to all sorts including women and children.

I too had a lad after last years game, coming up to me shouting, swearing and waving his arms about as if he was going to start on me......not uncommon perhaps after a highly charged game.....difference is i am female.

Unfortunately Ace, along with the story of Northamptonbee, this seems all too familiar, hence the added spice when Huddersfield come to town and why i am sorry to say i have little time for them.

I am sure there are very decent HT fans i have just never found them yet!

Can I just remind you bees fans that I have got great mates who support Hudds and they make me and fellow bees fans very welcome when we are there and we do the same thing here for them when at GP.

I will be down with 5 of them this Friday and we shall be staying down till sunday, they have allways said it is there favorite place to go in the country because of the welcome they get from bees fans as well as the competitive games we have played overthe past 10 years, so please dont try and start on my mates cause if you do I will side with me mates from Hudds and then there will be problems.

Don't think I've ever said or done anything nasty or vicious to ANY other football fan, nevermind Brentford fans. Don't get me wrong during the 90mins I'm as bigotted as the next person in the favour of my team but before and after games the last thing I want to do is insult or attack someone. I'd rather buy them a drink and have a good 'ole rap about the game we all love.

To be honest, in more than 40 years of following my team I've been in some serious 'scrapes', which in the first instance does tend to alter your view of certain sets of fans but I'm sensible enough to realise it's a tiny minority who cause trouble. In fact, having been to just about every football ground in this country, in my experience, there's less than a dozen clubs who have serious crowd behavour problems.

Kind Regards and heres to a good game on Saturday!

I too have been to nearly every ground in the country and have only had first hand experience of trouble at Huddersfield, although my brothers girlfriend was also attacked in a similar manner at Sheff Wed, i have had no problem at any other grounds.

I am not niave enough to believe you are all bad, but when a supporter who has been watching a team regularly for over 25 years suddenly decides that they cant face anymore because of their fellow fans its a sorry state and begins to colour the view.

Enjoy the game on Saturday and i am sure the atmosphere will be great. Hopefully the result will be too! For us not you sorry! :D

I've never ever known a Huddersfield Town fan stop going to games because of the behavour of our crowd, because the team's playing sh*te maybe but never because of fans behavour.

But isn't it the case that everybody has a story or two about different clubs fans. For example I've never experienced anything other than friendliness from Sheff Wed fans but on the other hand I've had several very bad experiences with Sheff Utd fans. Again in my experience Birmingham City, L**ds Utd, Stoke City, Hull City, Millwall, Portsmouth, Man City, Burnley and Cardiff City have all been horrendous. I stress, in all cases the difficulties I experienced were caused by an absolute minority.

I'm pretty sure there won't be any 'carrying on' on Saturday at GP most Terriers I know love going there.

Fair play mate, and i hope you have a good day on Sat (except the result!)

Just wanted to say that I think when people on here say added "spice" they just mean that our fans will be making even more noise than usual cos we don't like Huddersfield, not that there'll be anyone starting trouble...

Huddersfield Town are the team that make my blood boil - and I am the otherside of the world.

Their team resembles their manager - the biggest cheating c*nt ever:fishing:

I'm so gutted I can't make this weekends ding dong against Huddersfiled...

it's my sisters wedding on the same day...starting at 3 :(

Can we match the atmosphere

I was born in Huddersfield and spent my early life in Kirkburton.

Accordingly, I always look forward to these matches as I want the mighty Bees to put one over my home town club - although Hudds are always a 'second' team when they are not in our division.

I must say that I have never experienced, seen or heard of any troubles at our matches. Yes, partisan support of course, but nothing stronger.

please don't try to build up trouble at any of our matches - and especially this one - as we are football supporters not thugs.

They should ban weddings during the football season :fishing:
We got married in the close season, and in a year when there was no World Cup / Euro Champrionships!

I wonder if this apparent hatred of all things Hudders emminating from you Bees around the world has anything to do with the fact your team under MA tried to physically bulldoze us into the floor each time we played you?

Has it not occured to you that IF we cheated in the past, perhaps it was a direct result of the tactics employed by Mad dog Allen, which were clearly designed to intimidate the opposition and to stretch the rules of the game to the limit. Why was it for example under him, your entire team, coaching staff, physio and manager appeared to question every decision made by the officials, from the kick-off to final whistle!........ I mean.......WHAT THE FRIG WAS THAT ALL ABOUT? Was that not also cheating of a sort?

During games with Brentford I always found myself asking "Is it not possible to play football without creating controversy and upset every two minutes?" "What is the meaning of this?" While I can't deny it did add a kind of drama, at times games against your lads turned into a bloody pig-circus.

AcT:rolleyes:

It possibly goes back to losing out to Huddersfield in the Play-Offs when we finished second in the table during the only season in modern history when that did not guarantee automatic promotion.

Welcome to "New Brentford" . We're lovely and nice now and don't bark at anyone. Let's hope you reciprocate by staying on your feet for more than 5 minutes at a time.

I can't remember any allegations of cheating back then! No, it's definitely only been there since MA was your manager.

Thought I'd pointed out to you previously Mr Acetriper that we weren't physical, we simply closed teams down, stifled them and didn't allow them to play (well, that was the idea but it didn't always work !).

Don't think you ever lost a player through injury playing us, we did against 'udders though !

Oh and ignore Trandy, he's a little virgin boy who still hasn't lost his virginity even though he's been in Thailand for six months ! lol lol lol

Not to mention the thug that threw something at Tabby last season then, was that MA's teams fault too...:nono: :nono:

So you lot are a pure football, no bully tactics team yourself! lol

Dont give me all this bull that you cheat due to the fact of bully tactics by MA's team - I am sure you spent most of your time, with that manager of yours, doing the same thing every week!

I have to admit, that including the recent encounters with the Galpharm stadium. I was at the old ground for the play-off semi against Posh..... now that was a nasty evening indeed.

I am not trying to cause any trouble and know it's the minority that spoil it for everyone. I think that you need to take your rose-tinted glasses off for a while!

Anyway back to Saturday you will see a team attempt to play good passing football this season, I trust you wont be cheating this season then...:fishing:
