Is the Gen10 policy being rolled over to the upcoming season? I haven’t seen anything to confirm it but hopefully it continues.

Just looking for some clarity regarding the age that BFC applies to the Gen10 campaign for my son, who turned 16 in June.

His ticket for Leeds was £10 but when a friend booked our tickets for Bournemouth earlier he was charged £29.29 as it seems Gen10 only applies to U16 for this match rather than U18.

Is this correct and does anybody know if this anomaly will continue throughout the season?

Surely it would make sense for Gen10 to be applied consistently across all matches.

My lad will be going into year 12 next month, is not earning, so being charged near adult price seems harsh. Gen10 has been a great initiative that enabled him to go to most away matches last season and break into the top TAPs tier but if he will be frequently charged top price then that may sadly have to change.

It will be up to the Home team what thresholds they have.

However the ticket information states U18, so maybe your friend chose Young Person rather than Junior.

Ok, thanks Hobbsy.

Sorry, I thought BFC applied the discount to all of its own junior fans but it seems this will not always be the case for our 16 & 17 year olds.

Ticket information for the muff game says U16 for Gen10 tickets on this one.

If I remember correctly there was a few times last season when the 16/17 age bracket was charged more than £10 but not many. Hoping it’s the same this season and most clubs thresholds mean U18 is £10. However never underestimate the greed of mega rich PL clubs.

I think we can get some clarification on what the GEN10 thresholds are for Leeds and Bournemouth respectively

Club have just responded as follows:

The eligibility threshold for Gen10 tickets varies depending on the away fixture. Junior age categories for away matches are determined by the host club. Therefore, the age groups eligible for £10 tickets may differ between fixtures. For example, Leeds classifies supporters aged 18 and under as juniors, whereas Bournemouth classifies only those aged under 16 as juniors.

@Pinner Bee the amount charged for Bournemouth is correct as they operate U16 only.
