she is a good runner don't get me wrong, but as an Olympian she sucks. may be mental but why has she failed again?

In the big city races she has her phalanx of outrunners to protect her from the plebs and to hand her the computer print-outs.

Britain are third in the gold medal table behind China and USA. Take away Phelps's golds, and we are right up there with the Americans. We're having a fine Olympics, but track and field has started so I expect a bit of a slide down the table.

Because even recovering from a stress fracture in her femur she is still the 2nd fastest woman in Britain and probably faster than all but 3 or 4 British men.
She is the world record holder

We have 12 now, the cyclists will take us to at least 14 IMHO, maybe 15.

We have a sailor set to go tomorrow who is 99% certain to win Gold so we may be at 16 by the end of tomorrow.

We have Phillips Idowu still to go and chances in the boxing and other sailing events.

I'd say 18 Golds was now a realistic target.

Of the twelve two are in swimming, two in sailing, two in rowing and six in cycling.
