I'm sorry to harp on again, but the all black kit, is a no no. It puts us at a visual perspective disadvantage, especially in the sort of weather we had yesterday. IT'S ALL ABOUT FINE MARGINS and we should definitely play in red and preferably in red stripes, whenever we can. Second colour should be blue and yellow stripes. The choice of kit could have cost us the game yesterday.
Where can it be purchased?
Pretty sure the bright colour thing has been proven to help out
...think Southampton are the last striped FA cup winners
Don't know why we couldn't have worn the famous red and white stripes and black shorts yesterday or against Reading.
I wouldn't object to red shorts either....
It's all very strange how we yo-yo between wearing stripes as much as possible and then.....as least as possible. My guess is it is to do with the players and what they like and superstitious about. Remember we had that nonsense about the Silver Kit in the anniversary of the FITC? The players sent their captain to ask if they could wear it at another game...

Drove me mad a couple of times as I couldn't tell the difference between them at the far end ( probably need my eyes retesting though!) was hoping before the start of season that we would wear red and white for quite a few away games due to the amount of teams with blue in their kit.?Players need to play and keep out of stuff like that. We play in red and white and should do whenever possible. I'm not sure what has gone on lately to marginalise our main kit but I don't like it. My eyesight isn't what it used to be and I quite honestly couldn't tell who was who in the last 20 mins yesterday .
You are right I think it was last season that we announced we would play in red and white home and away unless there was a clash. That seems to have gone out of the window in favour of a bizarre third kit that can't even be bought.
Sort it out Brentford .
Didn't brums kit have a white sash on it, similar to what boro had last season. Could that be the reason why the home kit was ditched?
Might've been posted elsewhere but according to "Shagger Bob" the Kit Man on Twitter it was the players choice as they prefer the fit... Quite why the fit is different Im not sure?
The other possibility is that its a sponsorship issue with home shirt sponsors only getting exposure at home matches.

Can quite believe this is true but it is ridiculous that well paid players get to influence matters like whether we should play in our first team colours or not . Sort it out Brentford
Many players and coaches do not like to wear the home kit when away as the away kit reminds them that they are playing tactically a different game to at home...
This has actually rather annoyed me.
I find it astonishing that representatives of Brentford FC (i.e. the players) do NOT want to wear the red & white stripes of Brentford when the chance is offered!
Do the players want to succeed at Brentford or do they just see the club as a stepping stone in their professional careers?

Instead they want to wear a non-descript black shirt because it fits nicer on their sensitive skin!
Wearing the red & white should mean something. It has been a part of Brentford since 1926. Wearing the red & white shirt with the Brentford badge on it should give a sense of identity, attachment, pride and desire to succeed. Which for me begs the question this week. Do the players want to succeed at Brentford or do they just see the club as a stepping stone in their professional careers?
Surely one leads to the other? I'm afraid none of our players would've had a boyhood dream or even a great desire as professionals to play for Brentford. They come here either for more money or because they think one way or another we offer them the best chance of furthering their careers.
They're not fans, and are red and white stripes mean little too them.
Then if wearing the red & white means that little to them then there's the door and we wish them well in their future careers. I dont have any time for players who dont want to be identified with being associated with their club.
OK. You GPGers have now agreed with the club that it will be Red and White away from home except where a clear clash occurs.
