2019/20 - Ticketing Issues Thread

As last seasons thread caused so many issues, I thought we would start off the last season at Griffin Park with a new Thread

Top of my wish list

1 A list of dates published in advance when tickets will be sold for each home and away League game

Home games
Members from Day ??

Away games
St Holders from Day ??
Members from Day ??

And confirmation that the ST I purchased in May has been 'added/allocated' to last Season's card; and that me and the other WCMB boys will be able to get in the Stadium after driving up on the 3rd of August.

The thought of the ticketing site coping in the last few games at GP is already filling me with dread!

Spoke to Lucy in the TO just now; helpful as always; every ST Holder is going to get a new 'commemorative, last season at GP' Card with the 2019/2020 ST loaded on it; the Club's Mailing House are going to start mailing them out today; she was kind enough to say that the problems of 12 months ago are now all sorted.

No reason to worry at all. - We have the best ticketing people, skippered by Mads, and they will cope with everything thrown at them.

And all from a Porta Cabin !!

Not a good start !!!

Members will not be able to upload their own Match Ticket to their Brentford Card. Members will need to choose between a paper ticket and ‘Print at Home’ tickets.

So is this a system issue or a timing issue that the new cards haven't been sent out yet?

Cards were started to be sent out yesterday according to another post

Besides there’s no “uploading to card” a database is updated that will admit that card when it’s scanned at a turnstile.

We're getting new cards this season. At least that's what the TO told me when I renewed.

Are they Mad ????

Mads had the ticket office running very smoothly and was always able to help with any problem.

Where has Mads gone ??? And I sincerely hope it's a new position within Brentford FC

I'm a Season Ticket Owner but tried to buy a ticket for the Birmingham match for a mate. But, the ticketing site says it is a restricted area. Seemingly, only Members can buy a ticket, but are Season Ticket Holders not Members?

I notice that tickets for the Wycombe friendly have concessions for Seniors ( 60+ )....Yet they consider a senior to be 65+ when selling us a season ticket..!

It went up to 65 years ago at Brentford

ST holders can buy 3 more each from 4pm Wednesday 17th.

Away tickets in general last season, were sent out very late. Couple of occasions I had to get a duplicate from the home teams ticket office.
Do we know why that was and is it likely to be improving this season coming.

Okay so maybe they haven't worked out how to script changes en mass to the database yet

Fair enough, all the other age bands were exactly like ours which led me to think I was being hard done by..!

ST holders have “their” ticket. So bees members get next available tickets. After that, ST holders can buy for their friends and family......

Nope, takes you to an error page with no home games available to buy when clicking on 'home games' tab. First time I've had a ST since Kurt's baby was launched so assumed this was common practice, if slightly counter-productive.

Well, I'm sure I did that many times last season... maybe report it as an error?

On a different note got a call from a Georgia this morning inviting me to view various premium seating options in the new stadium at their exhibition. Anyone been already and is it worth it ?

Your lucky - I have only just managed to be able to type on here.

On the Official Site for myself and my 4 other season tickets it does not recognise my password and when I request a new one, then enter it.......it does not recognise my password!!!!

I guess I will have to telephone the ticket office tomorrow to find out what is going on as I cannot buy Cambridge tickets.

Whatever happened to the good old days when Winnie answered the telephone with a bright and breezy 'hello, how can I help you?' and then sort everything out???
