I hope we wear the red and white stripes as much as possible in the premier league to get our "brand" out there globally - I can only see a kit clash happening with Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Southampton in the league games .

Would also like to see our third kit this year promoted to the away kit when required - the white one with trim ?

Anyone seen any hints from Bob what the thinking is for this season?

I think you’ll be disappointed on a couple of counts because the away kit will always be worn away whenever possible. It’s an “away” kit now, not a change strip.

We’ll also have three new kits so have seen the last of the white one after only four(?) appearances.

They are alternative strips and they only have to be worn if there is a clash

Maybe you dont recall 7th November 1987 when Huddersfield turned up in yellow and black checks. It had some reaction as Paul Stewart, David White & Tony Adcock all scored hat tricks in City’s 10-1 demolition of Huddersfield

This is an interesting point. A PL fan told me he thinks you see more of the home kit in the PL as they want their brand seen on TV around the world. e.g. Chelsea always seem to wear blue against Liverpool, home or away, and it's not because their away kit clashes with Liverpool's red.

Whereas in the Championship we seemed to see the away kit as often as possible to sell more kit.

I'm certainly in favour of red and white wherever possible, away kits get their airings when needed.

Has to be proper Brentford red and white stripes all round the shirt and on sleeves, plus red stripe on shorts like this season.

None of these shirts that merge into unrecognisable red combinations, i.e. Southampton in recent years, and others like Lincoln with thin stripes.
We’ve done all those permutations.

So a modern version of our traditional colours!

Away shirt needs to be something that will not clash with the vast majority of other club’s home shirts.

Bright vivid all yellow combo with the black or red edging is smart - only clash would be with Norwich and Watford, and possibly Wolves.

The one away combination I really like is the blue and gold stripes, similar to Wanderer Paul’s avatar, and this from years gone by -

This is the last time Brentford released a black and yellow stripped away shirt . I think I still have this shirt somewhere . Does anyone else have this one ?

I liked the Black and white stripes but would prefer not to have memories of that game against Crewe!

Watch the PO final back (this year's!) i saw someone in the crowd wearing the black white striped one just after full time. sponsored by Ericsson so that dates it! They obviously didn't see it as an unlucky omen.
