morrison,hillier,steele and weight apparently.
youve gotta feel for them-some of them might even be bees fans having their dreams of playing for this club shattered. :(

I agree. Good luck - and remember sometimes you need to take a step back to take several leaps forward.

Many before them have been released from all clubs, some return to the pro game. Paul Smith was released as a junior at Charlton. :sorted:

It's what happens unfortunately, hopefully they'll be stronger for it.Glad to see Jamie Palmer's still in,thought he looked promising against MK Dons LDV.

Wouldn't say he's in, but a few more months to prove himself. As he is being reviewed at the end of the season. :sorted:

We're going to be a bit short next season for YTS people surely? Good luck to all of them getting new clubs.

I think we should also be congratulating those that are progressing........

best of luck to all of them, no matter what the decision was in their individual case...

Tough decisons. Good luck to each of them.

They will know that they have been well-coached, & I hope they'll realise that being "ex-Brentford" is not necessarily a drawback to a career in football!
Thanks & good luck..

I think you will find that more are taken on each year to replace 3rd year scholars not taken on.
I doubt there will be a shortage of players, just a few more younger ones, on YTS money instead of slightly higher first year pro money, which if kept on the released 3rd year scholars would of had to have been offered as well as other full time pro employment benefits.

Surprised that Hillier was released, pleased that Muldowney has been kept on...I'll trust Martin's judgement

Hasn't Hillier been on bench a couple of times?

Yes, as recently as Saturday. Only saw him in LDV game so couldn't comment on his ability, but was surprised to see him released so soon after being on the bench: shows just how short we were on Saturday

Just wanna wish those that have been released the best of luck, and i'm sure thais won't be the last we see of them as i've seen them play and they seem promising players.
Also gotta congratulate those that are staying.
Well Done and good luck!!

Possibly not if we're going to cut costs. However yes I concede we've probably made the decision there are better prospects lower down the system.

I believe that the football league sponsors up to 6 scholars per year for each club, therefore the replacements would cost the club nothing.

good luck boys, it may be a shame, but if you're serious about becoming a prof footballer, then you'll get your break

4 scholars released

Wish them all the luck for the future, but if there is no point in drawing out their scholarships if they think in there opinion they are not going to make the grade...

It's funny but in the past this would probably have passed without comment, we'd probably never even have heard about it, just goes to show how much more open the club is with MA at the helm..
