50th Anniversary.

Well on 20th February 1965 I was taken to Griffin park for the first time. Hardly kicking and screaming but I really wasn't too keen.

What happened - we beat QPR 5-2 and I was hooked.

Let's just hope for a repeat scoreline today.

Yes, I remember it well. Billy Cobb, who had not long converted to be a forward, scored a hat-trick. I also well remember attending the away fixture at Loftus Road on a Friday night in the previous October with Brentford winning 3-1 and QPR's former hero, Mark Lazarus, scoring for the Bees. There was only to be the 6 -1 drubbing of QPR on the opening day of the next season before we had decades of "Rangers up Brentford down".

Yep I was at all three of those games. Fourteen goals against QPR in 3 games over a 10 month period. Them was the days

It's my second season of coming to GP, I would like my own thread to celebrate this fact please, I came close to returning to Man City after the defeats to Watford and Charlton but I'm still in it for the long haul or until the POs are unachievable.

I would like people to recognise my support tonight.

First game I remember was losing at home 2-3 to Coventry in Oct 63, though was first taken to Griffin Park by my Dad around 1958 !
So 50 plus years for me, wouldnt have changed it for anything, years of laughs, tears and countless memories associated with the Bees.................
