A new hate corner?

What would be the chances of getting a new hate corner established where they currently tarpaulin the seats off? I assume there would be some expense because extra coppers would be required, but couldn't we just put up some wiring between the fans so that no one could get between?

I reckon it would do wonders for the atmosphere in the ground. At present, the Paddock and the right side of Brook Rd create most of the noise - this would be in the opposite corner and so ideal.

This also follows on from what people have been saying in the Big Match Forum about the lack of noise at GP this season. This might solve it. Anyway, even when we're on song, it can be surprisingly quiet down in the far end of the pitch.

Any suggestions? Could this ever hope to happen? Or would the council stamp their little feet down, what with the "notorious" Brentford hooligan element etc.?

I say leave it as it is. We finally have a old fashioned home end where all the noise can come from, we said last season it was like having a one-goal head start every game. Also means people can choose between standing and sitting and still join in, and it gets rid of all the arguments about whether you should be allowed to stand up in a seated area or not.

Wasn't the old possy in that corner called Love Corner, beofre we changed the ends of the ground round again?

A new hate corner?

Come on. Let's have some support for this, or at least someone putting it to bed satisfactorily as unfeasible for pecuniary/ legal reasons.

A new hate corner?

Anyone who went to Stockport will agree that their fan segrigation was a joke (1 steward aged about 65) so why do we have to go way over the top with ours?

A new hate corner?

I think the ground is starting to build the atmosphere again. Brook Road is being joined by the Paddock, and also now, the New Road (old hate corner) is really hotting up, as seen at the Blackpool game. With this expansion of noise, the atmosphere will improve.

A new hate corner?

I agree. I'd rather we get behind the team from Brrok Road than gather somewhere else because it's easier to wind up the away fans.

A new hate corner?

I agree to an extent, but the main point with a new hate corner is that it spreads the atmosphere across the stadium, and it also ensures noise even when the action on the pitch is not generating it elsewhere.
I'd also love to see the Paddock and a new hate corner singing at each other. Now THAT would be intimidating for the opposition.

Paz come and join us in 'B' block New Road, old hate corner. It was much better against Blackpool and the more of us who like a sing song that join forces the better the atmosphere. Come and lose your voice on the 23rd.:op485
