A new idea...

How about we have a friendly between the B.F.C. first team, and an eleven consisting of the eleven highest bidders for the privilege?

All the money from the bids goes to charity, as would all profits made from gate receipts.

What do people think?

A new idea...

Great idea but i doubt the club would go for it. Would they have to play with their legs tied together to make it fair!

A new idea...

That's true...
Maybe the teams could be mixed or something like that.
You could try and tie it in with something else to get as high a turn out as possible, and make it a kind of funday so to speak.

I think a lot of people might turn up just because it would be a laugh to see people (whether they're their mates or not) looking like prats etc. as they try to keep up with the big boys.

Also, it would all be light-hearted, and for charity!

A new idea...

It would be bags of fun, but will never happen! Some fan who wants a shot at the title and tries to take out 1 of the youngsters, 1 yr of knee ligament damge later on! If we put it to the authorities that we will not foul, maybe............. How funny would it be though, watching your mates trying to keep their beer bellies up with the pros!

A new idea...

A game like this would be unacceptable to Insurers, making the players uncovered under the BFC Players PA coverage.

A new idea...

how about a brentford supporters 11 (home kit) v brentford supporters eleven (away kit) very much in the form of the football aid packages, but with supporters bidding to play in various positions the money going straight to BFC. the starting money for each place shall be £0 (because if it starts off at something ridiculous then no-one will go for it) and start it from there. the only conditions to make it worthwhile i would suggest is a small subsidy on the kit, say what season ticket holders get, or if you are a season ticket holder an extra 10% or something, and for the game to be held at griffin park. it would make for a brilliant day, without too much fuss, christ alone knows, i would start off the bidding for centre back with at least £100. this plan will get supporters involved paying money out to play at our hallowed turf, griffin park. friends/family come and pay £1 to watch 22 idiots running about whilst spending money on beer and balti pies. the game could be played one saturday that doesnt conflict with a rugby day, as far as i can see we'd be absolutely the minimum of trouble, and to make it even more exciting a brentford scout could come along and feign interest to make the football being played a little better. :D

A new idea...

Not a bad idea actually...

Maybe somebody should add this to the list of suggestions to Gary Hargreaves.

One thing, it can't clash with an away match day either. It's not going to go down well if half our support's at GP watching amateurs. Furthermore, some of those that would be willing to make the highest bids would be keen to follow the Bees away.
