Just a quick one as heard on Sky sports news he is due to be announced as world number 1 In his sport taekwondo but has been dropped for someone in 53rd in the world rankings for the GB Olympic squad. Is that a good bet for a gold medal being not selected or is there more to it?!

It should be overturned by the BOA which has the final say. Utterly absurd and petty. The committee which took the decision should all resign.

to be fair, didn't realise t'other guy got a gold in the Euros this year (albeit surprisingly).

anyway, seems Cooky has again been rejected and will struggle now to get it overturned...

The BAO was in the meeting today, they have 24/48 hours to see If he got a fair hearing.. they can still overturn the decision.. the same people voted against him yet again, which is unfair...

Would it not be easier for them to fight with the winner going forward to the games... Never know it might make this sport mainstream for a few hours whilst giving the local scouts much needed venue for hosting this event in there hall

Well, Lutalo Mohammed won bronze, which, to a degree, silences the critics. Others would argue that Aaron Cook would have won gold (he definitely would) but we will never know.
