Just looked and they've changed the forecast to;

Wednesday - Sleet
Thursday - Snow
Friday - Heavy rain
Saturday - Heavy rain..

Just rang Accrington direct and spoke to a really helpful chap called Lee.He reckons the game will be on as the pitch has very good drainage :sorted: He also said games are very rarely called off for the 1st team and the last time was against Mansfield last year.He stated that game was abandoned and the weather was twice as bad as they have had now.

He also reckons the BBC site is wrong as none of the locals know anything about the snow :confused:

Fingers crossed.

just our luck, taking loads up there, playing well and now poss no game until tues week :(

Also will already be in Blackpool when they call it off.:rolleyes: But :sorted: to a weekend there

their local paper has light rain forecast for friday and sat so we might be ok. I am hoping that they postponed tonights reserve match to save it for saturday

Don't want to put a downer on the post above but i've just spoken to my mate who follows Accrington and lives there and he says it's belting down
(2pm) and The Crown Ground is notoriously bad for drainage..

Tonight's game there was called off due to the weather but it has stopped raining now according to their secretary. They want the game on but "it's totally dependent on the rainfall in the next day or so", further update to follow tomorrow afternoon !

keep us informed mate although i just know it will be called off just as i sit down with my first pint friday afternoon in Blackpool.:( But then i will just have to enjoy the weekend :cool: :sorted:

I've just rung a colleague there who said it's been belting down most of the day and has just stopped but the roads and ground don't look too clever.

Trouble is, Me and Brentford Bob are setting off at 3pm on Friday for this one.. wasted petrol, waste of a hotel room and a night out in Burnley hardly sounds tempting without a fix of The Bees!

Class A Category game so check the prices.:eek: A mate of mine who used to be a ST at Leeds won't pay it, £40 for adults and the same for kids when he rang earlier this week.

Happened a couple of times Especially when that numpty Rankin missed that sitter v Hartlepool which meant lost money on accomodation and trains as had weekend in Blackpool planned :mad2: Rankin made up for it in the replay though :love2:

Kicks off 1245 and it's collection only at the stadium before Friday I think. Coming up from Bristol on my own for the Accy game although not particularly confident of getting a game. Prices at Blackburn are surprisingly competitive, but it doesn't really provide much of a second bill to the main event.

I have just put the phone down to a lovely lady in Accrington and she said it was raining like mad and very windy. I suppose if the rain goes away and the wind stays....:sad: Great news.:sad:

Not sure if it's been mentioned earlier but there is more bad news for train travellers as it sems there is a replacement bus service from Blackburn.
