minibus to Blackpool on friday morning. Early start In Accrington then back to Blackpool some time after the game. Should be a good turn out and a good day for the "too big for this league" song as we will have loads there.
i thought virgin trains cease to run next weekend.

Accrington F.C. were one of the original twelve founder members of the Football League. The original town team, Accrington F.C., were amongst the twelve founder members of the Football League in 1888, before resigning from the league after just five years. A team called Stanley Villa already existed at the time, named as such because they were based at the Stanley Arms on Stanley Street in Accrington. With the demise of Accrington FC, Stanley Villa took the town name to become Accrington Stanley.
The current Accrington Stanley are seen to hold the legacy of both Accrington F.C. and the old defunct Accrington Stanley.
The town of Accrington may be most famous for the tragic story of the Accrington Pals. Really old-timers, students of WW I and the people of Accrington recall the Accrington Pals the story of whose tragic bravery is well worth reading:

Anyone else getting the 17.29 direct back to Preston?? saves ****ing about on buses to Blackburn etc... Have a 40 minute wait at Preston but better than being stuck on a bus....
