Just been reported an England footballer arrested on suspicion of having sex with u16 yo.Durham constabulary investigating.

Bang out of order,justice system stinks,name when found guilty.
Happens all the time,youngster gains entry to a club,has a few,gets chatted up,bing,bang,bong.....ooops "better tell"!!

Not saying this is the case,but jeez it's about time the law got it's act together.
I lost a mate (suicide) years ago through this,married,kids,good job,just out with the lads(peer pressure) had a few got chatted up and bosh......what the f**k was a 15yo doing in a club that had a 21yo door policy?.........did the club get done for aiding and abetting.....did it f**k.........sorry but this really winds me up,when peoples lives and careers can be ruined,like I said maybe he knew,maybe he didn't.....but I bet the accuser dosn't get named.....sorry for going on......GRRRRRRRRRR!!!

To put this into context, and before he's accused on here of all kinds of thingsit's worth reading Hack by Graham Johnson about his days as a scum reporter at the NOTW.

In fact, even if you don't want it in context, it's worth reading the book anyway.

For those who say no smoke without fire, you'd be surprised how often it's the redtops that strike the match.

Agree re named when found guilty but have a problem with the rest. Unfortunately the world has moved on a long long way and therefore people need to be mighty careful. Peer pressure, night out with the lads!!!

Maybe I am just old but perhaps better control of a zipper might be better protection!!!!

Shouldn't the fact that he was married with kids be enough to stop him shagging anyone?

My understanding was that the girl in the Rix case had a father who also worked for the Daily Mail, who I believe broke the story.

I understand that she may have seen herself as his girlfriend over that period of time. Whether he did too and did or didn't know her age will obviously come out at some point if it goes to trial.

as he's been charged I imagine it'll def go to trial and the only thing to be decided is whether it's magistrates or more probable crown court
