Added away allocation??

Charlton fan in peace.

We sold out over a week ago, Can you split any other stand for away fans?

I'm sure you could do with the extra ££

Cheers

Added away allocation??

Never been done for any other team that has come to us. So in short, no.

BigAl has been thinking of registering for the last three seasons but has only taken the plunge this year. Welcome to the board!

Added away allocation??

I suppose we could always make a concession to those inconvenienced by the 3-0 trouncing. I wonder if any of the 2,500 kept their ticket stubs?

Added away allocation??

I don't begrudge opposing fans asking the question. If it was us and demand for tickets had exceeded supply then we'd hope for an extra allocation but I'd also want our answer to be no. No sense in handing our rival any extra advantage.

With GP being an 'old man' now in football stadium terms, compared with a number of new builds, it's not possible to 'split' any other stand, so you'll just have to listen to the Internet or the radio.

It was only a question fellas??

Chill out!!

Owlsmore _Bee thanks for the sensible answer.

A few times at the Valley when the away end has sold out we have split the East stand for more away fans just wasen't sure you could do the same?
Now I have the answer I will leave you in peace!

Like when Charlton had to give little old Brentford the away end and part of
the side stand for our FA Cup visitlol

Your away support is soooooo poor for a club that gets 15K at home,
no need for us to make it an all ticket game, allegedly.

Anyway, with our secret millionaire donating money that's equivalent to
an average gate of 20K, we don't need Charltons old fogey, part time fans
in our stand.

Big poo rather than big al. Ha.

Added away allocation??

We used to give over E Block in the Braemar from time to time not so long ago as I recall so it can be done.

However no reason to suggest we won't get a decent home support for this one so no chance now.

Hi Big Al, can't honestly remember the last time we did it. Griffin Park isn't really built for flexibility!

Don't remember that, what year ?

I'm doubting myself now. Can anyone confirm that we did once give Millwall the whole of New Road?

Can't remember 'wall but we certainly did against Swindon about 20 years + ago
and that was a big mistake.

anyway, everytime BFC give away fans a bit more, it's a cue for aggro.
Leeds fans complained a couple of seasons ago because they didn't like
the Braemar fatboys snarling at themlol

You referring to the mahoney cup game replay? Wasn't that just the start of offering a covered away end by segregating New Road? Just remembered that's THIRTY years ago!! Jesus [oldmansmiley]

No, not that one.
the Easter game, Swindon were on a promotion run.

Charlton are no bigger than any other club in this division which is why they are here....

Don't patronise us....

Added away allocation??

Big Time Charlton? F*** off mate.

Oh dear, it's all gone pear shaped.
A bit like those old farts that get forced out of their Kent retirement homes
and bussed up to The Valley to watch loud pre match screenings of War Time CAFC
on matchday.
Yaaaaaaaaaawnrofl

Soton fans took the piss last season on here, we don't take to kindly to these posts...

Charlton are small fry mate - you couldn't even afford Karleigh Osborne! lol

truth be,id rather us be saying no due to demand in our own end

think the last time we done that was Reading, when they got a bit too lairy to those below them in the paddock, then got a good slap for it on the stairs

I think you're right re Swindon. Maybe a Chelsea friendly? Also, definitely Millwall, last game of the season, a Sunday match.

Millwall, last home game of 1984/85 and Swindon c March/April 1987. Swindon were challenging for promotion and pretty much doubled the crowd to 7,443. Far and away our largest of the season. It's very sad. I can remember the attendance but haven't got a clue what the score was.

It seemed a reasonable and politely posed question to me. Certainly one we would be asking if the situation was reversed. Sometimes the GPG collectively gets far too touchy with supporters of other clubs.

The way that Charlton treat away fans, sorry I'd be equally petty and tell them where to go !
Whilst I respect the fans , Charlton Football Club should be be treated with utter contempt, they could start by sacking their stewards, and the one particular member of staff in their ticket office, who was incredibly rude to a partially sighted friend of ours. I was allowed to pay my entrance fee, entered the ground and then duly thrown out for sticking up for him ! Yes I'd had a few beers, but trust me I'd have been equally incensed if I'd been drinking Innocent smoothies !

I understand this game is ticket preferred, I fail to understand how we will prevent away fans from getting into the home area's, surely the game should be deemed all ticket.
No offence is aimed at the actual Charlton fans, but the club has a bad history when it comes to Brentford, the incident with the brutal handling of one of our fans at the FA cup game still sickens me. The totally excessive line of stewards preventing our players acknowledging our fans was also unnecessary.
Maybe Charlton are in their eyes too big for this league, but unlike us they are not the Barcelona of the lower leagues.
Hope we stuff em out of sight on the field of play.

FYI, it was announced during the half time interval of Tuesday's JPT match that Charlton fans found in home areas would be ejected.

Millwall 1-1 , Swindon 1-1.

Didn't Cardiff fans get put in home end (Ealing Road) one Boxing day about 10 years ago when we expected about 500 and about 2500 turned up ?

Added away allocation??

No they didnt get put in. I think loads got in. But I also think they were escorted out by Brentford if memory serves. all hazy mind.

About 200 or so seperated from the home fans by a piece of tape and one (female) steward. Took all of 5 mins of the game for the inevitable to happen :box:

Added away allocation??

cant believe you sold out . your away support is cr-p

It's because Charlton don't run that fleet of free coaches full of Kentish people to away games. The Medway towns must be empty when Charlton play at home.

The only place they weren't in was New Road, which thankfully was where I was.

Despite them being, horrible, snarling bullies, assaulting and intimidating OAPS and kids, I did have to chuckle at them singing "We've got you surround-ed!" as stewards and Old bill scattered to four corners, mainly cause I wasn't in immediate danger of being volleyed by some 20 stone miner.

What about the millwall game years ago when pinamonte scored that screamer? I remember turning up at the turnstile and trying to get my normal seat in e block and being told that this was being used for millwall fans. I had to go in new road, I seem to remember they fenced off part of ealing road for them too.
