I was asking why you said the month of July. Now I know. You actually mean "in the 12 months ending 31 July 2015".
Re Tweets, yes, and, of course the GPG is correct![]()
Also, just because it is shown as a charge in the accounts, it doesn't mean that they have actually PAID it.
Was this the FFP fine for their accounts for the previous season then 2013/14? Or were the half year accounts, August 2014 to December 2014, the reason why they were fined, and paid it in July 2015?
A lot of this confuses the hell out of me! No wonder people have no idea how it all works.![]()
2013/14: Loss £10.3m. Maximum permissible loss is £6m. So that is £3.7m in excess.
Fine:
- 1% of the excess amount between £1 and £100,000
- 20% of the excess amount between £100,001 and £500,000
- 40% of the excess amount between £500,001 and £1,000,000
- 60% of the excess amount between £1,000,001 and £5,000,000
I make that a £1.9m fine for 2013/14
The other £5.7m? For accounts up to December 2014? Don't Championship Clubs have to supply their half year accounts for inspection in December?
Whatever happened to qpr's FFP fine?
More information here:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36189779
The fine was for 2014-15 apparently. I really didn't realise how much Bournemouth had spent to get promotion. A quite staggering sum.
Whatever happened to qpr's FFP fine?
Does anyone know how much more money Championship clubs will get as part of the new Sky deal?

I don't think much more, according to feedback from FSF meetings when the Premier League asked the Football League about how much money they currently get the response was "our clubs are very happy thank you"![]()

- Solidarity payments to lower league clubs currently total around £55m a year - Championship clubs receive £2.3m annually (unless they receive parachute payments), League One clubs £360,000 and League Two 240,000. A 70 per rise would see that total reach around £90m.
If Brentford took the FFP risk, and it all came tumbling down and the risk did not work, the vast majority of bees fans and the wider football world would be up in arms about another tale of mismanagement and another owner gambling on the future of a club.
I would happily take an established and competitive championship club, with better facilities, who can buy and sell players freely for the foreseeable future, rather than gamble it all on maybe going up one year.
Just think, we could break the bank on 3, 4 or 5 players this summer. 2 of them could get injured for the season, 1 of them could not settle in, etc etc etc - the only time the FFP gamble made any remote sense was January 2015 when we thought about it with regards to signing another striker, and even then it would of been a huge risk...
I personally would make the FFP sanctions tougher and they need to have a more immediate impact, to stop the debate on whether a club should abide by financial fair play or not, as if it is even a choice.
This is not the current reality however... and the truth is with the prize of the premier league now even more financially rewarding than ever, the unfairness of parachute payments and the light touch of FFP penalties within that context - I think we will see more and more clubs "going for it".
Totally agree and if we "Did a Bournemouth" I'd like to think we would get credit for doing it the right way. However it seems QPR, Muff and Leicester got promoted by breaking the rules and the relative paltry fine ( compared to the riches on offer) does seem meaningless. If FFP is going to mean anything then the league are going to have to get tougher and maybe look at things like points deduction which could be applied if these clubs get relegated back down.
Good for Muff in paying up.
Shame on QPeeHa and Leicester for not doing the honourable thing and settling their debt.
Callum Wilson out for the season , ruptured his other ACL in training....
Can they recall Graban?
No. Outside of the transfer window.
Oops. They might regret loaning him out now although they have other cover of course.
...........2-0 down...................30 seconds gone 1-0 down away at Everton..........
...........2-0 down........
They may just have enough points to be safe
Now 3 2
26 points!! Need at least 10 more
Should be but conceded 31 in 12 doesn't bode well. With Wilson now out and no new keeper in transfer window I'm not sure they will get many more than 36 pointsI think they'll be ok. Southampton are the ones to watch... in dreadful league form at the moment and dropping like a stone.....
Probably need 12 points from 14 games. Sounds easy but they are on a drastic slide and amazed they didn't strength the back four.
It's the loss of Ake that's done for them, their defence is appalling.
Tyrone mings banned for 5 games for stamping on Ibrahimovic ....not like the fa to bring a sledgehammer down on the small teams....I've seen the incident a few times and can't be certain it wasn't an accident.
Don't think the stamp was intentional, although, IMHO the elbow from Ibrahimovich was.
The people I talk to still love him and realise how good he is. They have a tough run in but that draw should boast the confidence.Howe did try to get the Chelsea lad Ake back and Chelsea's second string goalkeeper but failed. Will the locals start to get on his back? maybe but doubt it

I think thats my issue.
The "stamp" has a lot of uncertainty as to whether it was intentional, however the elbow was clear as day that it was meant.
Is this the year they go down?
Currently losing 1-0 at home Watford, and in the relegation zone.
Have done extremely well to last as long as they have.
