so sorry graham to hear this just remember all the good times you had with your dad my heart goes out to all your family
Very sad to have to report that dad passed away peacefully at around 7-45 this evening.

Although I am absolutely heartbroken I am pleased that he is not suffering any longer.

Friends, once again can I thank you all so so so much for such lovely messages both on here and on Twitter of kindness and support. Myself, mum and my wife are truly touched and thank you all dearly.

I have received messages from several senior members of the Bees board which alongside the lovely flowers and wonderful card will always be treasured.

Dad loved Brentford FC, he first came here with my grandad when he was a small boy and no matter of the result always enjoyed the games. The last few seasons in particular brought so much joy and memories I will never forget .

Please excuse me for signing off now , so much more I'd like to say but the main thing was to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone once more

Dad's are special,look back,remember the times you had,and smile.

Yep too true. Mines been gone 7 or so years now. Always miss him post Bees games when I'd drop in to update him (he couldn't go the last few years because of a leg amputation) and Friday nights when I'd take him to the Woodman for a couple of pints and a wind-up with the Rara fans there. Special moments cherished now. Remember those good times and smile Graham.

Alan Buxton RIP

So sorry Graham. When my dad passed away in similar circumstances we, as a family, were relieved that his suffering was over and that dad had managed to bail out whilst the going was still good. He would have hated to have lived without his faculties, or with little mobility. I hope you are able to feel the same way and celebrate a fulfilled life. It's hard but try to stay positive, as it sounds like you are.

Alan Buxton RIP

Sorry Graham, I've just seen this and would like to pass on my condolences to you and your family.

When my own dad passed away when I was 18, it made trips to the Cottage even more poignant, as it was the place we had bonded the most over the years, (and it still does 30 years later).

I am sure your continued visits to Griffin Park will hold extra special affection for you also now. The result won't always make you happy of course, but the memories always will.

Take care mate...

Alan Buxton RIP

According to twitter, the funeral was yesterday for this person. Would it be a good gesture to applause on the minute of his age? Does anyone know how old he was?
It is, unfortunately, the first home game since his untimely passing.
