Why? Paul Evans has enjoyed a successful Career in Football including being capped by his country and is nearing Retirement (In Football Terms) whilst Alex was a young man with a bright future until that Scumbag McShane took him out. How ironic that McShane is now earning Mega Bucks in the Premiership whilst Alex faces life on the scrapheap.

Alex will find footy somewhere but to finish footy is tougher when your legs go IMHO, hense my reason:wave: I liked Alex alot he was a nice chap nothing against him

Before that horrifc challenge he look to be a massive potential! really liked the lad and believed he would become great player possible championship easily!
injury really did ruin his game remember him playing after wasnt the same player, hope he can at rotherham atleast perform to near to the best we saw him at poor lad!

That's just what i was thinking. Rhodes looked destined for the prem where as McShane was made to look like a carthorse, never would have believed he would be quick enough for the prem. Strange how it works out:sad:

Yep from Man Utd none the less.

Couldn't take the fact that Rhodes was pissing all over him.

Seems to have done it several times in the premiership as well.

I wouldn't get overly romantic. Apparently Charlie Ide was the next big thing, and it was his attitude that let him down... people need to learn that some of our youth players just don't have what it takes to cut it

Destined for the Premiership is rubbish. He was quick, scored a memorable goal that didn't even matter in the end, and not much else!

While I agree that he wasn't necessairly destined for the premiership.

He did more then just the goal against Bournemouth.

At the time he was single handly tearing teams apart from the left wing, and was by far our best player. When he got the ball, the crowd reacted and you could feel the belief in them and the team. He definatley had a lot of potential, which will sadly now go to waste it seems.

1) Alex Rhodes wasn't a youth player, we bought him.

2) The verbals he received on his return from some of our fans (who no doubt were worshipping him after the Bournemouth goal) was an embarrassment

3) That ginger cowardly **** now plays for in the Premier League which shows that cheats do prosper.

I'm not sure he was ever a regular fixture in the starting line up to be considered our best player.

He certainly had some good games but my memory says that he didn't start that many and tore very few apart that often. :confused:

I would go as far to say that without the injury he would be on loan at Woking at the moment.
