No - it is not that he was not good enough, he was just last to jump into a frezzing cold swimming pool. So, therefore didnt meet MA's team bondage standard.

Plus they decided that they couldn't take any more chances with someone injured for the last two years. Remembering that our Thomas Pinault was similarly released by Grimsby and he seems to be decent so far :eek: , I think a trial to see if he's a player is a damned good idea.

Typical BFC. We have had a lad on trial for the best part of a week, and we haven't heard anything from anybody, nothing from Gilham, let alone had an update from Rosenior on the official site. Be nice to know whether he is still on trial, impressing so far, not done the job etc.

Sort it out!

Yeh lets tell the world that we have a guy who is the dogs whatsits on trial with us.....looks a great player with potential...then its goodbye as the first club with 5 quid a week more to offer is on him like the proverbial bees round a honey pot....:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Indeed, but it would be nice to know at least if this lad has actually been on trial for us since last week, as (unless I have missed it) the OS has not even mentioned his name anywhere.

To be honest, I'd rather hear when they've had their trial and signed or been released. Saves all the rumour and speculation and besides why do we need to know who LR might have a look at?

Surely lots of players turn up for trials pre-season, or ask to train with a club if they don't have one just to keep fit, whilst others we ask to come for a trial.

Do we want to (or should we) be advised of each one and which category they fall into?

I think not!

He is no longer with us apperently!
At training today we had the players who finished on Saturday and Brooker training. Brooker appears to have kept his place in starting line up for tomorrow with Mousinho in centre midfield and Osbourne missing out which due to his involvement in both conceeded goals on Saturday is no surprise.
Olli out till Sat week probably with only slight chance of bench on Sat.
also out are Tomlin (toe nail) Willock (ankle) Masters (ankle) Peters, Owuso, and Framps who was hoping to dispose of crutches but has been told to keep using them.
Ide and Fitz trained also with Charlie looking sharp and Fitz looking like a charlie!
carder-andrews is in squad also. venezuelan keeper should replace Masters on bench.

PS No training Tues or Weds back in at 10am on Thurs for those who want to go down to watch and cant be bothered with "Winnie Gate" trying to find out from club.

Could he be one of those short term contract play for nothing (;) ) types that Allen liked to have around, particularly at the moment. I have no idea how that works though. :(

Oli out till Saturday week, I will take that. Also, not sure how Tomlin feels with his injury being publicised as (toe nail) lol

Tapp found it hard to break into Wilsons team, he was a sicknote, he used to play a game and get a knock then get injured in training be out for 6months then play a reserve game and pick up another knock... and so on :|

When fit he showed promise but to be honest hes worth avoiding.

What's the story with him then? If he is still about, why wasn't he sub on the opening day of the season??

Also, why was he told we couldnt afford him?? In LR's interview last week, he said he was very close to bringing in a midfielder. If Tapp was told we couldnt afford him, then who the bloody hell are we going to bring in ???

A loanee with his club paying his wages? Or Leroy is lying to Tapp and secretly has a stash of money :fishing:

Scored in his first trial with Oxford Utd, a reserve match against Ipswich. Friend went and said he bossed the midfield. Why don't we ever get a look at players like these?

he was playing well for MK Dons before he got a serious injury and was out for over a year, so most people forgot about him. Hed be a great signing if we managed to get him!
