I wouldn't want either of these two within a mile of managing Brentford. However you really do have to give them some credit for the way that they motivate, manage and get the never say die attitude drummed into their players.

It has to be said that Allardyce has been badly treated by several clubs including Newcastle so he must be relishing his current glory.

I think Allardyce said that he didn't take much joy from relegating Newcastle, you shouldn't forget that it's not always just about the manager and the owers, there are a whole bunch of other relationships right down to the proverbial tea lady, such people often lose their jobs when a club is relegated.
Allardyce should stay and build something at Sunderland, if he can't no one can, I've said for a long time it's a manger's graveyard up there.

This might be a bit controversial but at times Sunderland aren't actually that bad to watch, they counter attack quite nicely and don't always hoof it forward. Not a fan of Big Sam but he gets his teams to perform so fair play to him.

They are both brilliant 'managers'. The mindset they instill is very much go hard or go home. But they will never win the big prizes. And they know that

Allardyce gave a very interesting pitch side interview after the Everton match where he really seemed to open up about how he'd been feeling and what they'd been up to. It was like the shackles were off and I wish more interviews were like that.
