Allen - enough

Quite frankly I think I have given the fella plenty of time considering I took a dislike to his 'skills' from day one v Rushden and Diamonds last season. However after an inept performance again yesterday - anyone there will know we had yet another shocker - we seriously have to start looking around for some cheap old solid manager who can actually give us a bit of consistency from one week to the next.

Allen's one off superb matches (ie. Bournemouth last year when we stayed up against all odds) are totally overshadowed by the rest of his awful game i.e. fining players for not being loyal to the club, shouting a bit, walking about, and rushes of blood to the head if the team are frustrating everyone etc etc...

I am not one to boo our players or managers or slag them off in any other way in a vocal way at games so decided to have my say on here instead. What do the rest of ya think about him? And who shall we pick on next? lol

Agree with you Claire. In all seriousness, I think some people still don't realise how lucky we were to accquire him as manager.

glad i talk a bit of sense sometimes. we are lucky to have him, but that doesnt mean that luck is always going to go our way, as we have experienced. every team has ups and downs, and you can put the blame on people, but at the end of the day its a team effort.

MA is not god (if he was we wouldn't have lost to Blackpool!) but he has assembled a small, but half-decent team unimaginable 12 months ago. One or two things probably need tweaking, but Brentford isn't built in a day.

It discusses Martin Allen in the same context as Nelson is being discussed in another thread. Since GABS doesn't want anyone else other than Nelson discussed in that thread, I have respected his wishes and started my ironic discussion about Allen accordingly.

i think this thread should be intiled "i talk aload of sh*t" if he wasn't a good manager then why are we there or around the play-offs??? if we wasn't a good side in the division if we was round the relegation zone then we wouldn't be on sky!!!! If we didn't have Allen then i don't think we'd have players here like Salako...Burton....Turner etc. The motivation at Brentford is quality!!!! All down to MA....i respect the man and i know that if MA can't get us promoted then no-one can!!!

If you write something that is clearly just tosh, how are we supposed to read it and realise you are being ironic/humourous/taking the pi55?

As we can only read you words and we can not see you smile over the internet it is logical that we will assume you are being serious and hence the abuse will follow.

If this gives you pleasure as you think "ha, got ya, it was a wind up" then i think you should try to get out a bit more!
