No it would be too hard to spell his name in messages here. We should stick to a forward line of San Lee, Ben May and Jay Tabb to save effort in typing

This may sound wierd, but I really do think Chelsea need someone like Shevchenko... they need a striker that's going to get them 20 goals a season and is going to convert all those chances they create into goals. Drogba just isn't doing it for me. Whenever I've seen Chelsea play, they really should be scoring a shed load of goals given the amount of chances they have but they just don't have that killer striker in the box.

Given the amount they had spent on strikers, they have had an absolute nightmare with them! Crespo, Mutu, Kezman, Drogba... they should just stump up a shed load of cash and buy that complete player they need instead of spending shed loads on players that have "potential"... although at the time I thought £5m for Kezman was a bargain... how wrong I was.

Anyway, what do I care about Chelsea.

that's what they'd like to think. i don't think qpha's indifference to bees is comparable to chelsea's indifference to qpha - bet half the chelsea crowd don't even know who you are :laugh:

I think that they're only buying players like him and ballack so that other teams in the Premiership like Man U and Liverpool do not get them and challenge for the title! :fishing:

Yeah course but surely it should also be to add value to the team. Not just the endless wasting of money that Chelsea partake in. Once they buy players they just ship them off to mid-table premiership teams on loan!!

Never thought I'd say this about an English team, but I sincerely hope not.

Talksport stated that Ballack was getting 130k per week (after tax!).

I would image Shevchenko's salary would be similar. That is a f%^&in disgrace.

A Chelsea fan at work made a point that this is no different from when Real Madrid wanted to build a team of galatico's and they never received as much verment criticism as Chelsea are getting.

True - the Galatico period at Real was seen in a romantic light - however, this just feels different and I can't put my finger on why. I hope they crash and burn.

I thought that when they signed Crespo - Not the best striker in the world, but one of. Chelsea soon managed to stifle him with their tactics / formations.

The same with Drogba - Nowhere near being one of the best players in the world and never will be, but Chelsea have standed him up top on his own and he's resulted to diving and cheating to get by.

If Mourinho goes with two up front next season, then maybe Shevchenko will produce the goals week in, week out.

The only thing I can think of is that Real have always been seen as one of the biggest/the biggest club in the world. So when they were building this team it wasn't a break from the status quo. Chelsea on the other hand had only won one league title till Abramovich took over so there success is attributed simply to being bankrolled.

I personally hope they **** the league for a few more years, the longer they do, the more bored people will get, the less they will be willing to pay the ridcolous prices to watch premiership and sooner or later other clubs will be suffering, wages will drop, prices will drop and it will get more exicting, as surely Abramovich won't still be there in 5 years will he?

Your Chelsea mate is talking rubbish. Real have come in for scathing criticism, former chairman Florentino Perez in particular, over their Galactico policies and especially his famous "Pavones y Zidanes" quote. How much of the Spanish press does your Chelsea mate actually read? No, the snippets in the Sun on a Monday morning don't count as comprehensive. There is no-one in Spain, nevermind Madrid, Perez excepted ,who believes the Galactico philosophy has been succesful. All the people that questioned Perez whilst at the club, Camacho & Del Bosque amongst others, found themselves handed their P45s.
