Andy Frampton

Frampton was a good honest pro and far from crap or average.Good luck to him at Gillingham.
I was speaking to my friend Tony a few years back, when he asked me if there was some lad called Frampton playing for BFC and what was he like etc. (The reason Tony was asking was because he knew Andy's father).

Anyhow, Tony revealed that Andy came from a wealthy background, I think from marrying into money(?), the point being that he had absolutely no reason to be playing League 1 football, other than love of the game etc.

In fact, I think Tony said that Andy's Father-in-Law wanted him to set him up in the family business etc (my recall is a bit hazy, since we were both a bit p1ssed). And if my friend described Andy's da-in-law as "loaded", then he surely must be, since I'd say Tony is himself a millionaire.

Anyhow, I always respected Frampton after that.

His Dad owns a firm of chartered surveyors and young Andrew was educated at a public school - Lancing College - where I doubt he was on free school dinners.

And what a bullet header it was too. I was match sponsor, and despite 11 people around me saying that their second half substitute should get MOM, it was always going to be between Alan Bennett, Framps and Sammy Moore. Sammy was very close to wininng MOM, but Framps got it in the end. It was really pleasing to hear him acknowledge his time at Brentford as being his best years, and really pleased to see him perform so well at centre-back. He played really well, in fact, with alot of composure and battled hard against the huge Burton striker, Rene Howe. It always makes me proud to meet ex-Brentford players who remember their time with us so fondly.

Man of the Match Fixing !!!!

I watched the game and the complete turnaround at half time was caused by the two wingers coming on !!!

Do you know how they got the wrong goal scorer for the first goal ???

Smith scored it and would be top goal scorer in League Two except the papers said some one else scored the first

One winger and one left-back by the name of Chris Arthur, who played like a winger. Arthur changed the game, with Porter, for sure, but Arthur has alot of talent.
No idea about the scorer either. Smith scored, but because he looks a bit like Pell, the announcer got confused. It'll get amended once AFCW inform the league.

An Andy Frampton brace helped AFC Wimbledon ease past Portsmouth and give them their first home win since September.

Best of luck, Framps! Here's hoping that you find a suitable job after your playing career.
I remember being told some years back, by someone who knows his other half's family very well, that his in-laws were loaded.

In fact, it seems that he had already turned down a much more lucrative opportunity in the "family business" because he so wanted to play football.

Always had huge respect for him after hearing that.

Andy Frampton

Always liked him. Gave his best for the team and undoubtedly did so for every club he played for. Good luck to him and whatever he chisels to do.

I can still remember his goal at Nottingham Forest in 2005 when he and Darren Pratley scored in a famous 2-1 win.I am sure Andy has enough contacts to make himself a good career outside of football.

I believe he still lives in Hampton and always made time to chat about football.

Teddington and always has times to chat about Brentford just like Alan Bennett. Often bump in to them at the David Lloyd and nothing but good things to say about the club.

Wasn't he related to Noades in some way?
