Andy Scott - Is It Time?
Since when has facing up to the facts been Rude!!
Should we have won the division then with Leeds, Norwich, Soton, Millwall, Swindon in with us

Since when has your opinion been fact?Since when has facing up to the facts been Rude!!

I still think he deserves to be given more time

Brentford has been lacking ambition for many a year. And as for finishing 9TH,Andy Scott felt over the Moon!, Andy Scott is not a winner in my honest opinion. But he is very good at blaming everyone else but himself!! when we lose.He is the GAFFER!! who should be leading the team by example, not blaming others!,and whineing like a Jet Engine everytime we lose. And PLEASE forget our cup wins.Although they were very good. His number one job is to take us out of this league, and at the moment,he will, back to Div 2 . RESIGN ANDY SCOTT!!

Slightly ironic that you still have this attached to your posts, don't you think?![]()
Setting aside everything you've written, I'm not surprised Scott was over the moon with last season's 9th placed finish, especially bearing in mind where the other promoted teams finished. I was pretty pleased too as it happens, as were a great deal of other fans.
Regardless of all of that, I'm not quite sure what relevance our finish last season bears to the here and now.

And you agree with Andy Scott that 9TH in the league last season was good.WOW !! your just like him,Deluded, How Sad
No not really. How is time going to change whether or not 9th was a good finish last year? Your opinion is that it wasn't, mine (and was it China Bee's?) is that it was. That makes us sad and deluded in your opinion. How will time turn your opinion in to fact?Time will tell eh?![]()

I still think he deserves to be given more time
Well here is a BIG hint!.We are BOTTOM of the League.Enough said
Our final league position last year was very credible whilst our current league position is a disaster. Scott was over the moon with the former, like many of us were and is most likely aghast at the latter, like all of us are. That's about the strength of it isn't it ?

Well I'm sorry but I must be simple because I've still no idea what point you're trying to make. Our final league position last year was very credible whilst our current league position is a disaster. Agreed. Totally. It was the tone of some of your previous posts I took issue with. But hey, the GPG is awash with anger and emotion tonight. Last thing we need is to be at each other's throatsYou cannot alter the past.BUT Brentford FC can alter the Future right now!!,by replacing Andy Scott. However attracting a good manager to Griffin Park will be no easy task.As for that problem,i'm sure we all wish the Board Good luck!!

**** - CLOSE THREAD!![]()

Go on then. Just one pintAnd having posted that, many of you need a HUGE reality check about what this club stands for.
**** OFF IT YOU AINT HAPPY!!!!![]()
I thought Andy Scott's loan signings over the previous seasons have been first class and it was what set him above a lot of managers at this level. This season with a lot of players signed on contracts, it has to be said it looks poor. A prime example is Alexander who lacks any kind of speed which is so noticable against any decent teams. The MacDonald - Forster combination today was dire. I think Andy Scott will turn it round and avoid relegation but the current squad lacks quality in some vital areas. We will not improve untill a ball winning midfielder is in the side.
Please give it up, you don't see what we see, the club is on it's knees, you've been lucky enough to see the few games that have papered up the cracks. The crowd is dead and the players are zombies, he's had his chance.
How much time would you give?
I've not slagged off AS to date but today I saw a team heading towards relegation & it wasn't Oldham. I've lost confidence in AS I'm afraid.
True. But I reckon not sacking him means non-survival. Like I say, I was with you until today, but I reckon it's time for action now.If I thought sacking the manager would guarantee survival and more I would. We all know it doesn't.
Today was a real low, I really thought AS was the man to take us forward but he has run out of ideas..... time to go I'm afraid.
I was all for giving him time but today showed me that AS's time with Brentford has run its course. Sad, but it simply just hasn't been good enough this season, especially given the budget he has been given. Time to let someone else try and salvage what is left of the season. Fair enough. I would wait until we get the majority of our forwards fit (eg Alexander, MacDonald, Forster, Simpson) and see how things look then. A lot of course depends on whether things start to pick up over the next couple of games, but I would wait until the end of November at least. Remember, for every Martin Allen miracle escape there is probably three or four spirals downward uncontrollably
Go now.

Looking at the poll, so far I'm the lone voice which says give him a little more time, 3 more games will be enough I think. The board have to show they are giving Scott every chance to turn things around and then a little bit more, not firing him because of a bad run of results. I do agree we were terrible today, as we were against Rochdale and Walsall, as most teams have rumbled our style of play, but maybe we won't attract a better quality of manager if we sack Scott now. The board should however be using the next few weeks thinking about the next stage of progression and the type of manager they want, whilst Scott fights to save his career at Brentford. I hope Scott succeeds and leads us out of this mess, but doubt he will.

I've marked Exeter as the cusp and I'm sticking to it.

plus going back to happier times doesnt always workout, ref nicky forster, although hopefully in his case its a temporary lapse of form. crazy comment. This, added to the last few weeks, how can he stay.
One thing not mentioned much is the Orient JPT game, not many where there and we won, but for Scott to call it dire baffles me as it is his ****ing team and selection.
Bye bye Mr Attitude.
well i was there and it was rubbish. no tactics, no gameplan, no ideas, no nothing. not good enough for my beloved BEES.
I still think he deserves to be given more time
after the sheffield wednesday game i thought here go season is back on track now, but everton aside i can not believe where we are in the league but the table don't lie and we deserve to be there, i have always defended scott for everything he has done but enough is enough now, the board need to sack him and not leave too late like they did with that **** leroy, but i don't think think that they have the bolloxs to do it, i don't know who i want for the job defo not Martin Allen, Pardew? Mowbray? sorry for the rant but this is to me the strongest squad we have had in years but they are not producing it on the pitch and as for Andys comments after the game saying that we are in a relegation battle......well what a way to try and lift the side for next week might as well say to them bollox to it we are alreday down just continue to do what we are doing
Leroy was/is not a ****. He's too nice to be a manager.
It's his trademark to rubbish his players, the ones he signed !!. How can Matthew Benham sit back and watch Scott throw HIS money down the drain.
But this board will just sit back and let him take us further into the brown stuff. He's had plenty of chances to change things around but he's either too stubborn or he doesn't know how, I think it's a bit of both.
