I think that most a/m have more input than we know about...just got to look at the dugouts on TV....YOU REDS....:sorted:

I may not have expressed myself clearly enough, Mr Cynical, but I think we have no idea how much power or say the average assistant manager has, not even the average Brentford assistant manager.

I could also add that we have no idea whether it is a good or a bad thing that the manager allows his assistant greater power and say in things. I do know that if things go badly, it will be Butcher's head that will be called for first, however much he has delegated to Scott.

How will we know if he has more or less power and say than the average Assistant Manager?

And there was me thinking that an internet board was there for debate?

Its a fair point IMHO and one that has crossed my mind.

He already seems to be far more involved in things than other Asst Managers have that I can ever remember. He seems far more worldly/ intelligent than most as well.

I can see it is no bad thing to have such a strong partnership and to possibly groom TB's successor.

Will he have more power and say than your average Assistant Manager?
Couldn't care less as long as the team, particularly the new signings, performs.
