You're right, Mills was his agent but I really really wouldn't lose much sleep over it.

On the advice of HorshamBees I now have £1 on Forster, Coppell, Di Matteo, McInnes and an Edinburgh/Dean Austin combination.
I am running out of loose change here BFC !

My take on this whole business as it is now is as follows:

Justin Edinburgh got onto the shortlist as the winner of a reffle between all those with appropriate qualifications who had applied - no other SANE reason - therefore can just as easily be dismissed from consideration (waits for press conference annocing his appointment now)

Derek McInnes I believe is currently the 1st choice for the job and I believe would be a good choice - focus would be more on the team than on him.

Roberto Di Matteo is currently out of work (I believe) and therefore vavilable BUT I think the focus would be more on him than the team. also by now he should have realised he is not the 1st choice.

I worry a little that DM will turn down the job either to go elsewhere (Sheff Utd) or to wait for a Championship side to offer him a job. As a result of knowing he wasn't 1st choice RDM also turns the job down, leaving us either with JE (please god NO) or someone else.

as for other possible names who knows but I wonder if Paul Buckle is still in the picture or go for Micky Adams ??

abee has confirmed on Beesotted that the Justin Edinburgh rumour is complete b***ocks. Don't worry about that.

Mills talked about whittling down the shortlist to a 'final two'. These two are Derek McInnes and Roberto Di Matteo. Surely the panel would have to be sure that they both want the job before deciding on a 'final two'. For that reason, I see no reason to believe that our next manager won't be one of McInnnes or Di Matteo, which is very exciting for the club, whatever happens.

If that is true then I agree having either of them as manager is exciting ....

BUT until an annoucement is actually made I will continue to worry

Interesting. Which means the most probable reason for the Justin Edinburgh rumour is someone (as I found) did a search of some of Mills's past clients and decided to run with it. Slow news time in football at this time of the season if a club is in mid-table mediocrity I suppose.

i think mickey adams is a prime example of experience often isn't best.

Who did and when? Most people wanted Leroy and seemed like the best of a bad bunch at the time, those days are a million miles away from where we are now and once again, I don't get your point.

Top top post. I'm all for freedom of speech but where Blunstone's concerned I can see the massive downside of this "right" that we all take for granted. I console myself with the thought that he doesn't believe a word of what he types. He just does it to wind people up. I could write what I really think but it goes against the code of conduct.
