Definitely a piece of the jigsaw we've been lacking for a while.
(and that kind ability doesn't just mean a goal threat from him but dragging people around makes space/gaps for everyone else)

Interesting that the article and quotes are all emphasising his attacking qualities. It seems very clear that we see him as a fairly advanced midfielder.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Just that he has abilities at that end we've been lacking (in addition to his box-to-box workrate).

Midfielders can be attacking, too! He does seem to have Dasilva ball-carrying qualities.

Indeed. The Feyenoord fans certainly thought he was more of an 8, being played out of position as a 10. But the emphasis we've put straight away on his attacking abilities might be indicative of the way we see him developing over time.

Maybe…but I’m hoping not!
In the sense that I want an 8…covering loads of ground, doing defensive work, beating people, driving us forward, and getting on the end of things too! Rather than just someone who stays further forward.

We've already got one number 10 in Carvalho who can't get in the team because of Damsgaard, so I doubt we're bringing in another. Milambo looks more like a box-to-box player IMO.

Not exactly a closely guarded secret but if he can add more goals from midfield (which won't be hard) then it will help to erase the deficit from when BM leaves.

Can't see JDS staying now as this is basically a younger model

Different type of player - I see Carvalho as the Damsgaard cover and Milambo is more of a number 8 so could mean Yarmo dropping to a 6 if they both play together

Lovely box to box mid signing. Milambo seems like a really good bit of business at first glance too. He will add some energy to that midfield.

Very good JDS replacement.
